I picked this up at a garage sale.

I came across this at a garage sale a few days ago. The original owner has had it since 1985 and had only listened to it a few times. I’m a big Sade fan so decided to purchase this as my very first vinyl. Immediately went to the store and purchased a turntable. It’s in mint condition and sounds crisp and quiet.

My oncologist won’t allow me to take Aromatase inhibitors (AIs). Should I seek a second opinion?

It’s been two years since I’ve been declared NED. I was diagnosed with early Stage II IDC. I am er/pr + so I am currently taking Lupron + Tamoxifen.

I really hate tamoxifen. I am 34 years old with teenage acne as a result of this. Prior to tamoxifen, I did not have acne. I also can’t stop gaining weight. I have always eaten healthy and exercise three times a week, but I’ve now completely removed processed food from my diet for the last two years and I exercise 3 times a week in addition to hiking 15 miles per week, on average, but I’m still gaining weight. I went from 5’3 and 105lbs to 5’3 and 130 over two years. It’s so depressing because I’ve never been this size and I’m not happy with the way my body looks or the way clothes look on me anymore. I want my body back!

My oncologist has said that my hormone levels are still in peri-menopause so I can’t switch to AIs until I am in complete menopause. I haven’t had a menstrual cycle in two years. What more does he want from me?

Should I seek a second opinion from a different oncologist?

Giving away doorbell cameras for free.

I have two Ring Doorbell cameras that I no longer need. One was purchased in 2019 the other was purchased in 2025.

I’ve since transitioned to a doorbell camera that is not subscription-locked and has local recording rather than cloud-only storage since I’ve been burned by Ring too many times and have lost footage I can never get back because of WiFi issues or because my subscription lapsed.

Free to whoever wants them. Let me know if you’re interested. I live in Centennial Hills.

Should my water softener regen sooner than 14 days?

We installed a 32,000-grain for a two-person household. No pets or children, just two adults. Our water softener is set to regen every 14 days or when it reaches less than 100 gallons, which ever comes sooner.

Is 14 days too long? We have an upflow carbon filter to remove chlorine from the water, but it still contains iron.

We are on city water and hardness is 18 GPG.

Juggling between working remote and having work-life balance VS working in-office and progressing my career.

I’ve been in HR for 5 years now. I started my career as a Recruiting Coordinator and now I’m a Sr HR Data Analyst. I’ve been remote for 2 years now.

I have been interested in moving up to a managerial role, but there are very few of those opportunities in a remote environment. They all seem to be onsite.

Remote work has done wonders for my mental health. The time I used to spend commuting to work, I now use that time to focus on early morning meditation, walks, and meal prep. It has allowed me to spend more time with my husband. I feel more productive than I have ever been. I live a much healthier and fit lifestyle and have lost 35 lbs because I now exercise during my lunch break and cook all my meals at home.

I honestly don’t ever want to go back to an office, but at the same time I want to progress in my career. I don’t want to feel stagnant because I’m limiting myself to remote work only, but I also don’t want to sacrifice my mental health either. Where’s the balance? Does anyone else feel this way?

Life insurance after cancer diagnosis.

32 year old female diagnosed with Stage II Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (breast cancer) in February 2024. ER/PR+, Her2-. No lymph node involvement. I am now in remission and considered NED (no evidence of disease).

I recently purchased a house and would like to set up term life insurance so that my husband doesn’t have to be left with the burden of a mortgage if I pass away. We have $300K remaining on the loan, so only looking for $350K policy at this time.

What are my options? Am I (excuse my language) shit out of luck?

I have a $100K policy through my employer.

HR Professional and continuing through the interview process for practice [N/A].

I currently work remote and have been remote since 2020. I recently interviewed for a fully remote Sr HR Data Analyst role that I was super excited about. That’s until I learned the company has had 4 layoffs in the last 4 years. The most recent layoff happened earlier this year. They seem to be struggling and there seems to be constant restructure.

My current role is stable, although not much growth opportunity. I’ve already decided that I will likely not want to work for this company, but considered going forward with the interview process for practice. Bad idea?

Finding a remote opportunity as an HR professional feels impossible. [N/A]

I'm currently a Sr HR Operations Analyst. Started my career as a Recruiter back in 2020. I have been fully remote since April 2020.

I have been searching for a new remote role for the last 4 months. Despite sending over 300 applications, I have received only 2 interviews. I decided to apply for a few local opportunities that are on-site (just as a test to determine if it's my resume/experience or the fact that I am only focusing on remote opportunities).

I applied to three local jobs last week as a test. So far, I've received interviews for all three of them. They are all managerial positions as an HR Manager or People Operations Manager.

I haven't been in the market since 2022, so l remember it being much easier to find a remote job then. Now I have to decide what's more important:
Advance my career but have to commute to work everyday or have better work-life balance and work from home, but likely not see an advancement.
