v5 chopper

Upgrade includes:

• Rockets mounted left and right for faster cruise speed of 100 m/s, top speed 170 m/s

• Longer wheel base for better stability during taxi

• Added battery capacity

• Roll fins mounted on left and right fuel tanks for better manoeuvrability at high speeds

v4 chopper

All 8 rotor blades now posses rotor tips. 4 for pitch and 4 for roll. The stability and manoeuvrability is next level for its size. Cruise speed is 50 m/s, dive speeds can reach 120 m/s, and can fly non stop around Kerbin. Replaced the modular girder segments up front with structural panels which gives a more robust look. Also using the PPD-12 cupola module up front instead of the mk1-3 command pod for better views.

Gear up

Version 3 of this chopper now. Improvements include reduced part numbers down to 140 from about 200 for better frame rate, this also decreased total weight allowing for more control and higher top speed of 90 m/s, also added this cool landing gear system using double hinges.

90m/s speed dive

Fully aerodynamic chopper built from scratch on console. Until recently, it would enter into a death spin at about 70 m/s (150mph). After some slight tweaks to the rotor tip controls and rpm adjustments, we can now pull out of the dive at 90 m/s (200mph) and fully recover into level flight.

Yipeeee!

I guess we went for a little sky-dive this afternoon, and the heli came crashing down not too long after :)

Key to stable choppers

Console player here, been playing around with helicopters recently and after many days of trial and error I believe the key to stability is adding control surfaces to the end of your main rotors, possibly even your tail rotor (haven’t tried yet). Ive added fins to the end of 4 out of 8 main rotors.

4 of the 8 main rotors are set to pitch and roll. The 4 other main rotors with the fins on the end are set to pitch only, while 2 of the 4 fins are set to pitch and roll with only 25% authority and the other 2 are set to just pitch with 50% authority ,which seems to have helped with pitch and roll control especially in turns.

The rear rotor is set to yaw with 150% control authority and the angle at which i installed the blade onto the motor counteracts the torque (of main rotor) just right at the rpm its set, while also allowing gentle yaw control in both directions.

The centre of gravity sits basically smack bang in the centre under the main rotors but the slightest bit forward for me this works really nice.

You can set up the main rotors in a way that when you toggle deploy, the angle changes just enough to give or take away lift depending on how much authority you asign. Really fun to build up and fly, no KAL-1000 required!

Starship/Kerbship stock build :)

This thing took me so freakin long to build… always wanted to build this, it works pretty well :)

Didnt even know you could bring down the control tower 💀😭😭 Forgive me 🙏😅

I guess we’ll have to rebuild

Jebs first helikopter

If you recall my previous post (now deleted for low quality) you may have remembered Jeb was having trouble with his helikopter controls but after 10+ hours of R&D he finally has it working. Its difficult to control but it works and thats what he was hoping to achieve. 😭😂

Can upload some videos soon to show how realistic it looks and feels to fly. The controls feel heavy and its easy to crash if you don’t stay on top of the controls like in real life. 😂 Jeb managed to capture these photos

Finally made it to South Pole!

Took about an hour from Kerbal Launch Site (No fast travel). The feeling of landing on the massive smooth ice sheet was unreal. Didn’t have enough fuel to get back though :(

Phytoca Live Resin Sour Tangie Review

Haven’t seen too many in depth reviews on the Phytoca Live Resin range and thought id take one for the team since I feel like the community is pretty divided whether or not these are worth the money. ($135/g)

Let me just start by saying this is very thick and stubborn oil. Yes they do work from start to finish, just make sure the air bubbles are slowly rising after you hit it - The easiest way for me is to create centrifugal force on the oil when its still warm post-hit by swinging it left to right really fast while holding it horizontal facing towards you and keeping your elbow still.

Also I wanted to address "clogging" concerns as these should never "clog" but, as with any cart, an airlock can sometimes form inside the coil where the oil has become solidified and you wont be able to inhale until you clear the airlock by SUCKING the mouth-tip LIKE A STRAW. Don't try pop the airlock with your lungs you could hurt yourself.

Battery - CCELL M4

First hit - a bit dry, but thats because it can take 2 to 3 hits to properly start flowing.

3rd and 4th hit - spicy, sweet but a little sour citrus/orange taste backed up by a smooth earthiness that washes over every taste bud, then the orange taste circles back and sticks around for a little bit. Really nice cerebral feeling and also uplifting, mood instantly brightens, eye lids don’t feel too heavy.

30 minutes pass - still feeling quite uplifted, energetic, house chores felt like a breeze. Actually able to play with the dog and tire him out first which is a good feeling!

Actually had a good sleep even though its sativa dominant.

Next day almost half way thru - when i woke up i felt a bit groggy but thats seasonal and the weather has been absolute dogs breakfast lately so who knows?

- One hit on the sour tangie and the rain and cloud coverage didn’t seem so bad anymore, even decided to take the dog for a walk since the rain didn’t matter anymore to me and the little guy was happy as well.

- This is the power of cannabis. I love how it has the power to heal, connect us and helps to brighten up our days a little bit, even though it can become a vice to some, its always good to remember that its from mother nature, and lets face it.. There are worse things out there than cannabis, things that are actually harmful to consume, media always manages to make us look like the bad guys.

Well the proof is in the pudding! Cannabis works. Studies can be funded by obscure entities that wish to take this away from us. But they can never stop the truth.

- Definitely try this if you haven’t already. Yes there are cheaper options, yes there is live hash rosin and other resins but imo not many compare to the live resin range from Phytoca. The ACTIVE ceramic hardware is superior, taste is pure, flows amazing.
