Saturdays competition
TCB New England had its first competition and went to NAGA in Boston this weekend and brought home Gold in the 180 beginner division and then a belt from the Absolute 🤙🏽

MPC Sample speaker stopped working
Idk if I theres an update or something but I tried to sample something on my MPC Sample and it “recorded” but there was no sound. Soundwaves, but no sound. So then I went and made up a drum kit of the internal sounds and still, no sounds. Even with the volume turned up all the way.
Ive turned it on and off
Messed with the rec gain
Any recommendations or similar situations?
Edit: The mic was somehow switched off
(🔈❌ON) in the sample record menu. Which I guess makes it so you cant even hear the internal sounds or anything from the speaker for that matter.

I think its hilarious but annoying that just because the fact you make dumb video to “reel people in” (so to speak) to watch your video and listen to your beat. It gets labeled AI because you asked ChatGPT to make a picture
MY BAD. I can’t draw or because I didn’t think Google would have a picture that had a concept I had in my head for the song. It’s fine. Pay attention to the AI everybody’s obsessed with and not the work I just put in. I just think it’s funny and kind of annoying.

Flipped Nat King Cole’s “Nature Boy” over a beat I made
Been spending some time learning the MPC Sample and ended up with this Nature Boy flip
Lots of vocal chopping, a little pitching, and some drums & stuff
Thought I’d make a video for it not just post the audio cause I liked the beat

MPC Sample not Sampling
Just got my MPC Sample, Updated and tried to sample audio from my iPhone via USB-C and its not recording anything or detecting anything. I have it set to the USB but ive tried all the usb options.
Any suggestions?

Any advice on accessories or attachments?
Ordered the MPC Sample and it’s finally coming in this week (hopefully) but I know there can be some things wrong with it or there’s always stuff you need when you get something new that you don’t have.
So is there anything that you found that makes things easier or that just helps?

Do I need to buy a whole keyboard/MIDI Controller to get sharps and flats?
I know that there’s a keyboard mode, but when I’m using the plug-ins, I can only use the natural notes unless I go to the grid and input the sharps and flats (the black keys) myself.
Is there a way to do it through the 16 levels or something? Or is this where the midi controller comes in?
