Oddly satisfying stat distribution

I'm a big fan of numbers divisible by 5's and 0's, and they are just a delight to see 😁🤭

These are my pokémon I trained for Battle Frontier, and took me a while to get those stats right. I used some tools to see how much EV's are needed to get those 'perfect stats', doesn't matter if some of them aren't maxed out, I just wanna see them just as that.

Enjoy!

Currently at a winning streak at Battle Dome Open level doubles tourney, and this happened...

Out of nowhere, trainers are now bringing legendaries? Like, HOW? 🧐

Funny enough, the Cooltrainer with Latias was described as "weak" 😂

Anyhow, I still managed to pull off a win against them. they were still no match to my Three Kings 👑😎

But it's getting intense! I didn't expect to be this excited!

My HoF (post-game rematch)

Probably the best team I've built in a Kanto playthrough, and I just love this team. 💪🏻

We really have come a long way...

10 years ago, this would have been impossible. Trading gen 3 pokémon online with different platforms and consoles was just a dream. Thanks to these amazing programmers and developers, we can finally share our experiences with people from all around the world, and it keeps getting better and better.

The trading was played with RetroArch using gpsp core.

Now I can finally complete the Pokedex!

[Pokémon Crystal VC] my HoF

Pokémon Crystal is a game I grew up with lots of memories for me. I used to play it with my siblings and cousins back in the day, so revisiting it on the 3DS was such a wonderful experience. It also gave me the chance to try Pokémon I had never used before in a Johto playthrough.

Totodile has always been my favorite Johto starter, so choosing it again was an easy decision. Feraligatr turned out to be an incredibly solid and bulky Water-type, and it absolutely shined against Lance and his three (somehow illegal) Dragonite(s).

I obtained my shiny Clefable from the Day-Care near Goldenrod City. Funny enough, I didn’t even realize it was shiny at first. While training my Croconaw for Whitney, I switched it out and suddenly saw sparkles fly across the screen. That was the moment I realized I had hatched a shiny Pokémon, and my very first one, too.

Xatu was definitely an unusual choice considering how many Flying-types Johto offers, but I also wanted a strong Psychic-type for Morty. Ironically, Xatu learns Psychic way too late in Gen 2 — at Level 65, of all things. Still, it ended up being a surprisingly reliable member of the team.

Gengar was another fantastic pick. I caught Gastly very early in the game just outside Violet City. Training it was a bit rough at first since its stronger attacking moves come later, but once it got going, it completely steamrolled large portions of the game.

Since I had never actually used Heracross before, I decided to add one for some diversity and raw power. Finding one, however, was a struggle. I spent ages headbutting trees around Azalea Town before finally encountering one. But once I got it, Heracross became an absolute beast, especially after learning Megahorn.

Finally, there’s Donphan. I caught Phanpy on Route 46, making it only the second Pokémon I obtained in the entire run. I was inspired to get one early because of Chuggaaconroy. One of his videos featured a Phanpy that kept fleeing from him, and that memory stuck with me all these years later. lol.

One of my biggest takeaways from revisiting Gen 2 is how strangely paced some Pokémon movepools were. A lot of Pokémon learn their best moves way too late into the game, and some don’t even learn moves you’d naturally expect them to have. Thankfully, Game Freak improved a lot of that in Gen 3 onward.

Shots taken from my 3DS Camera (Part 1)

These photos were taken at the University where I work. There’s something strangely special and nostalgic about them — like a sense of nostalgia for a place you’ve never been to before, yet somehow still feels deeply familiar.

I’ll be posting more 3DS shots soon. Enjoy.

[Pokémon Yellow 3DS VC] HoF

I had the pleasure to replay the very first game I played when I was a kid back during the 90's.

This is classic Gen 1 lineup inspired by Red's canon team from GSC/HGSS. It took me a while to get used to the game's old mechanics, and being underleveled played with set mode, the battle with E4 and my Rival (Dick) was an epic to be remembered.

My Pokémon Emerald journey started with my Sceptile. Finally got all the silver symbols at Battle Frontier! After countless level grinding, EV training, IV breeding, and trading with others' Pokémon, I stacked up a pretty decent roster.

Next target are the Gold symbols!
