Anyone had attic insulation done?

We got a home energy audit and as expected, one of the top recommendations was to get more insulation in the attic.

Wondering if anyone in the area has had this done recently and approximately what was the cost after rebates?

Mostly just curious if I'm looking at hundreds, or thousands, based on what anyone can share.

Headlight Disconnects Every Time I Turn Left

Anyone else have an issue like this with an XP4?

I am contacting Lectric but I'm just wondering if there is something uniquely wrong with mine like the headlight cable being shorter than it's supposed to be?

Siding - Hardie Board vs. Ascend Composite, Looking for Experiences

Hey everyone, my home is in desperate need of new siding. 40 year old wood is completely dry and cracked.

I have gotten a couple quotes for Hardie and Ascend Composite.

Obviously both have pros and cons, the overall cost isn't that different, and it's making the decision a bit difficult.

We're in Colorado so we have intense sun, especially on our LARGEST wall which is the south face.

Hardie Pros
- Highly fire resistant
- More premium appearance
- Can be painted any color

Hardie Cons
- Needs to be painted and caulked every ~10 years ($6-8k)
- Lifetime warranty including fade protection

Ascend Pros
- Zero maintenance if installed properly
- Built-in insulation (R-2.0)

Ascend Cons
- Doesn't look quite as premium

Just looking for opinions based on what people have seen or done. What would you choose assuming the price difference is negligible?

First eBike - XP4 750 - How Did I Do?

Just ordered an XP4 750 Step-Thru during the memorial day sale. Never owned an eBike but did ride an Uber one once like five years ago.

Historically I've mostly ridden mountain bikes, but not passionately and kind of just stopped riding many years ago. Bike hangs in the garage, tuned it up a couple years ago, rode it a bit, just wasn't useful or important in my suburban life.

In my research this XP4 really seemed to check all my boxes without many downsides. I am a utilitarian and like a good Swiss army knife if it does its main job well.

Purchase price is $1299 + tax - state rebate ($225) so about $1,200.

During this sale it comes with seven 'free' accessories:

  • LevelUp Rack (Free)
  • Phone Mount (Free)
  • Bike Lock (Free)
  • Elite Headlight (Free)
  • Suspension Seat Post (Free)
  • Mirrors (Free)
  • Water-Resistant Pannier Bags (Free)

Did I get a good deal? Felt like a good time to buy.

Hi Xfinity, I was laid off several months ago and we're really struggling, I can't afford to have any of my bills increasing so I'm looking at my options. Please message me, I'd like to see what my options are.
