When should I upgrade my primary weapon? I'm playing with gear score on and I want to keep using the same type of weapon...

I'm looking for suggestions on when I should replace my weapon, I'm also only using one weapon slot.

I'm planning to just buy a new (main) weapon in order to keep using the same type of weapon instead of using random weapons just because they have higher gear scores.

I wanted suggestions on how much of a gap to allow before changing weapons.

In other words, how much of a difference between my gear score and the gear score of my weapon should I allow before changing/upgrading my weapon?

Do the 4th Echelon Goggles and/or the Sonar Goggles flip down like other Night Vision goggles?

I understand they're just cosmetic.

However, when you use night vision do they also have an animation where you use them or do they stay on top of your head?

When do you need to drink water? I'm using the default settings and I haven't had to drink it at all...

When would you need to drink some water?

Running up a hill? Not "sprinting" but the jog/run pace from pushing up on the controller.

If Nomad is jog/running a long distance, 1K+, and sprints across a roadway and continues to sprint away from the road, would you need to use water?

What happens if you don't have any? Does it refill at the bivouac like ammo?

I'm just trying to understand how the use of water works.

Also, it says "-1" if you spend 24hrs waiting at a bivouac, what gets reduced?

Is this game/story connected to The Division?

I just started playing Breakpoint a few days ago...

I haven't advanced far into the story but I've already seen things that make me think this is a prequel to The Division.

I think, I'm not 100%, Wildlands had something from The Division in it. I think it was a radio message or something.

I am not referring to the stupid decision of Breakpoint becoming a looter-shooter or adding rarity to weapons/gear.

I am just asking about the story itself.

I'm just wondering if they're connected or did Breakpoint just copy the story of The Division as well?

Examples of what I am talking about are: what looks like early versions of Pulse and the Striker Drone (Syn Shot Drone), the use of armed drones, the Wolves patrolling with robots like Black Tusk and the use of viruses against populations.

I've also heard how the events, so far, are just a test for future plans.

There're some other circumstantial reasons but those are the main things that make me think the stories are connected.

How long should it take for enemies to calm down after being alerted?

Do Wolves stay alerted longer? I know they're supposed to be the better trained/etc but do they stay alerted (yellow) longer than the other bad guys?

Does it being in a "Dangerous Area" matter? That's only related to the difference in Gear Score/Level, right? It doesn't mean enemies in those zones act different, does it?

I alerted a Wolves base and they called reinforcements.

I got away before they saw me, but I didn't "Vanish."

They stayed Yellow for more than 10 minutes. I went AFK and did some things and they were still alerted. I was using Prone Camouflage 500-600m away.

I then moved almost 1,000m away and they were still alerted.

At some point the base calmed down but the helicopter reinforcements stayed circling the area.

I tried to sneak in again, but the helicopter saw me and they were alerted again.

After backing off again, the helicopter left almost immediately afterward.

Was that normal?

Did I do something to make it last longer?

Questions about loot and characters...

Does loot in chests respawn?

For the chests that had a specific item (i.e. Polar Fleece Beanie) what happens after you "Acquire" the item?

Will higher level items respawn or is it a one time thing? I don't know if the Polar Fleece has a level but for the items that do have levels what happens?

Does it work like that for credits too? Will the chests that had credits respawn more credits? Other loot? Nothing?

Also, does your...characters transfer? Do you have to create a new character for Motherland?

Is anyone familiar with the "Single-Auto and Single-Burst Trigger Option" mod?

This is the mod.

I am trying to figure out what it actually does.

Is the "Colt Mk 18 Mod 1" a modded Assault Rifle that was added and it's the only, besides the unique weapons already in the game, Assault Rifle with the Single-Burst option or is the option available for all Assault Rifles in the game?

Or, does this mod just add the option for SMG's and there's some other mod that did it for Assault Rifles?

I read through some of the comments for the mod but I couldn't determine anything for certain.

If it was on Steam it would be simple to test. Whenever it comes to messing with files...I know my limits. Especially when there're vague, to me, installation instructions like with this mod.

Was I supposed to get a The Division patch with the reward from UbiConnect?

It's called "The Division 2 Pack" but do you only get a weapon?

I can't tell if "The Division" symbol is a patch or just a logo.

Is there a Single-Burst trigger option for Assault Rifles?

I saw two of the M4's have Burst-Auto but not Single-Burst.

I saw a mod that gives it to SMG's and implied it was available for ASR's but I haven't seen anything that confirms that and the shop (can't remember the name) wasn't selling any trigger options at all.

I tried searching but nothing is coming up except the mod for SMG's.

The new AI squad aren't part of the story?

The new squad members you can get aren't part of the actual story? You don't find them in the world or anything like that?

They just spawn at the click of a button?

Do they have dialogue? Personalities?

Does (Wildlands) Bolivia come up?

Is there anything interesting about them?

The main reason I never bought Breakpoint at release was because they removed the AI squad. I don't know if I'd want to use the "new" team if they're not really part of the story, I know they were added after release but still...

It was also disappointing one of the...two characters faces (Fixit) at character creation is the face of an AI squad member.

Did they use a default face and just give it to the AI guy without bothering to replace it, or was there only one...choice originally and Fixit doubled the number?

Basically, how much have the new AI squad members been incorporated into the story/events of the game?

When is a natural/good time to break from the story and free roam? I want to "find" the M4A1...

This is my first time playing.

The tutorial said you can do things in any order but you could miss out on context.

I think I already messed up a little. I "Checked on Holt" which advanced Episode 2 before starting the Episode 1 missions.

I was thinking about breaking from the story to do some of the Faction Missions and exploring but I don't want to mess up the order of the story.

Also, which missions/etc would allow me to "find" the M4A1? This isn't (Wildlands) Bolivia and I would like to take a different approach.

Advice and suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you "need" to upgrade weapons for Extreme Difficulty?

Do enemies have more health on Extreme Difficulty?

I haven't seen anything (official) that specifically says they do.

I'm assuming they do since weapon upgrades increase damage but that is just an assumption on my part.

Also, is there any relationship/connection between Difficulty level and Weapon level? In other words, should your Weapon level be at a certain level depending on the Difficulty level?

I haven't played in a long time so I might not be noticing a difference if there is one.

Does anyone know what top is being worn in this video? I've looked through the store and unlocks and I didn't see anything like it...

It can be seen between :45 - 1:09.

At first I thought it was the Bomber Jacket but only the shirt you're wearing under the jacket changes colors. The shirt/jacket in the video is a different color than the default Bomber Jacket color.

I don't own the Bomber Jacket, I tried changing colors during the Preview.

Some questions about Premium Credits, the store and obtaining items...

If an item is bundled together with other items, is it possible to get the individual item in a crate?

I have some Premium Credits and I'm trying to decide if I should get a bundle or buy some crates.

I could get two crates for the cost of the bundle.

Also, is it possible for a solo non PvP player to get items associated with other modes? There's an item that requires 10 victories in the Mercenaries Mode (I think), would it be possible to get something like that?

I know some modes required other players so I wanted to know if that's still the case or were all the items made available to all players in some way?

GRW: Would someone explain weapon damage stats?

I have an upgraded M4A1 (lvl 10) and when I compare it to other Assault Rifles it looks like my lvl 10 weapon does less damage.

Is that accurate?

For the other stats (Accuracy, Handling, etc) if my weapon has the smaller value the difference (the bar) is red. If/when my weapon has a higher value stat the difference appears as green.

However, for "damage" some (most) weapons have higher values but the difference is displayed as blue. If/when my weapon seems to have a higher damage value the difference is displayed as red.

Would someone explain this please?

Could a bad USB port make it seem like my GPU died?

I have not had ANY "graphical" issues.

I have been experiencing my (wired) keyboard and game controller randomly...losing connection.

Then after putting the computer to sleep and coming back thirty minutes later, it seems like my GPU died.

After searching for solutions I learned the issues I was having with my keyboard/controller could have been symptoms for a dying GPU.

However, after installing a different GPU I discovered my game controller wouldn't connect when using a specific USB port.

Now I am wondering if the, seemingly, bad USB port is making it seem like my GPU died.

Is that possible?

Could a bad USB port make it seem like my GPU died?

Did (robed) Jedi get dirty?

A problem I have in Survivor is deciding on what to wear...I change outfits 3+ times per mission (at least) because it's never just...right.

I've realized that the issue is because I don't really have a frame of reference for a "Jedi" in the "survivor" setting.

All the "Jedi" I am familiar with (movies) fast travel right to the final boss. They're not involved in the getting dirty part of the missions.

This got me to thinking: what would a "robed" Jedi (Mace Windu, etc) wear on Koboh?

If a stereotypical Jedi from pre-episode 4 went to Koboh, would they keep their robes on while fighting gorocco's and zip-lining around a swamp?

For some reason, I just can't really see those type of Jedi "roughing" it...

I kind of think a movie would keep them in the robes and I'm wondering what would a real Jedi do in those types of situations.

I hope there are more characters like Toa in the next game...and more planets!

First, I hope they don't put the whole game on one planet.

Next, I hope they put a Pyloon's (cantina/place where NPC's congregate) on each planet.

Most importantly, I hope they put an NPC like Toa in each cantina/whatever.

Each character, like Toa, should reveal some lore when you reach the end of their dialogue tree.

Like Toa told a story about Starlight Beacon the other characters should share some lore also. Maybe someone talks about the Rakata, a YT-1300 Corellian light freighter they sold to someone or rumors/legends of ancient secrets buried beneath the old Jedi Temple.

They could even talk about Hutt Space.

Sad stories about lost friends and/or the location of giant birds is fine but I think some lore dumps would be more interesting.
