The blue one is 1990s Vintage Nienhaus & Lotz, and the organza top is from Moresca Costumes
I had to drop the client unfortunately, but will likely still finish the mask for my own personal collection and as a display piece
Working on a project right now and I CANNOT get the pour spot to look right. Please help!! Any other notes on spacing etc. are greatly appreciated
As a female artist I come across this issue in every aspect of my work. I’d love to open the discussion about it.
Edit: there’s so much fuck you running through my veins at the amount of gross comments I’ve been receiving for this that I’m gonna go paint something.
If you see a woman being harassed online and feel like that’s a valid excuse for you to tell me what I am, that I deserve it, or think that means it’s your chance - there’s something seriously wrong with you.
I got the first belt secondhand ages ago and have yet to style it in a way that doesn’t look like Shibari :p (no hate, I love the art form just not the goal I have in mind)
The second belt is from a lovely antique shop in California I picked up during my time stationed there. It’s handmade in Mexico and I adore it
I picked up a new top yesterday and it goes so well with my ensemble!! All thrifted <3

I’ve been painting since I was 5, I was self taught and adore oils. Growing up I watched Jazza and SuperRaeDizzle all the time.
I got to highschool and fell in love with acting, I got to preform in front of thousands of people at 15 and again at 16. I had a few scholarships and lots of skills
Then I joined the military out of highschool. My family was not wealthy, I wanted to make something of myself. I refused to be in debt from college loans.
Then, 2 years into the hardest school of my life - 14 to 16 hour days, fittest I’d ever been. I got diagnosed with EDS, Widespread tendinitis, hip dysplasia, and a few other things that brought an abrupt halt to my budding career.
In the span of my time in the service, I lost 5 of my people, dealt with assault, I got married, I drew when I had time.
I’m a housewife now. And starting to paint again. It’s been jarring to say the least and I don’t quite know how to talk to my paintings these days. It’s like trying to befriend someone you lost a long time ago.
I make masks, I make props, I paint, I model. I love art.
I’m lucky to have people in my life that love my art too. My husband pushed me to make this piece and it’s not as dramatic as my usual oils. But I’m satisfied with it. He was so excited to put it on the wall.

Two clay pots I found at a thrift store in Midland TX yesterday alongside some Don Quixote whiskey tumblers. Trying to get a proper date but having a hard time finding when they may have been made.
They smell super earthy and this is after giving them a light cleaning.
This is a piece I’ve been working on, it’s all hand sculpted and painted, but I genuinely cannot tell if I’m just being hard on myself or if I don’t like it 🫠

I’ve done countless skincare routines, I rarely ever get any other acne except for these tiny white bumps with fluid in them. They might have a little speck of white solid in them once in a blue moon but it’s so frustrating. I use Fenty moisturizing foundation, wash my face daily, and have quite a clean diet. Idk how to get rid of these 🫠 advice would be much appreciated.
For background info: I have h-EDS which causes my skin to be much more sensitive and thinner.
She’s still pretty skittish but has been warming up a lot!!! I’m an artist so I spend a whole day at a time in my office sketching/editing/etc or playing games. She’s been staying around her cage or on top of it, never coming out for super long but today she got within a foot of me on her own! She’s been super vocal and starts chirping when I’m not in the room, gets super chirpy when she wants treats lol.
She even has some new little feathers coming in over her nose!!!!
