Hello, Reddit users! I have a question for those who can relate or not. I’ve been living with my mother for almost three years now. We live in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. One day, when I came back from a trip, I was surprised to find that we had gone from having one small couch to three incredibly large couches. Two of them were in the living room, and one was in our entryway, which is also the kitchen. I don’t know what got into my mom, but I was furious because the apartment looked cluttered and just not right. Now that we’re planning to move out (not together), she comes to me and tells me that she’s going to get her friend to take them out. However, she insists that I pay him $100 for his services. Mind you, I barely ever sat in these couches, if anything, I despised them. I couldn’t help but laugh and simply tell her no. First of all, I didn’t purchase them. Second, it was never discussed with me whether it was okay to bring two extra couches. So, my question is, am I in the wrong for saying no? Or is my mom being unreasonable and trying to take advantage of me?
