بشرتي عاديه، بستخدم مرطب وغسول يومي وصن سكرين + غسول سالسيليك مره في الاسبوع مثلا.

My hamster got diagnosed with pneumonia. He started getting sick monday morning and got worse by night so I took him to a vet the next day. His tongue was swollen, he was wheezing and wasn't eating. No vet wanted to help saying they can't treat hamsters. Only one vet diagnosed him and gave him two types of antibiotics and oxygen sessions and saline nebulizing session and told me to wait for improvement (he wasn't an exotics vet).

I don't have access to oxygen or nebulizing sessions at all (I tried a pets clinic but they told me the device is not equipped for hamsters)

I got home, gave him his meds, and waited. No improvement at all.

His symptoms got worse. He became so dizzy and his tongue kept swelling and changing color, his wheezing is still the same though. The doctor prescribed a gel for the swelling.

I give him meds on schedule and keep him comfortable and everything but he's not responding to the meds.

Today (day 3 since he got diagnosed), he got even worse. His tongue is greatly swollen, he's rarely moving and when he does, it's out of discomfort. He keeps rubbing his face aggressively (his tongue hurts cuz his teeth are pressuring it). I tried to give him food but he barely took it.

I contacted the vet again and he told me that the meds aren't working and there's nothing he can do for him and if I wanted to go to a private clinic it's up to me but he doesn't think he's gonna make it.

It's been three days and he's not getting any better nor showing signs that his body is shutting down (or maybe I can't tell). I expected him to pass on today but he's still fighting. My heart is aching, he's suffering and I can't keep watching him like that.
