Upgrade recs for a beginner on budget

Hey yall, I'm considering getting the scx24 (or the 30, still deciding), and i was wondering what upgrades i should get if i get the rig. My max budget for everything would be 225. I was wondering if that budget is enough to have decent performance (since ive heard it's pretty bad when stock), while also having good durability because i'd hate having to deal with something breaking after just a little while. appreciate it yall.

upgrade recs

if i want to increase durability + performance with upgrades, which should i prioritize? i was hoping to not deal with anything breaking on me as well as having a bit more fun with the crawler. thanks

EDIT: Please help out with tires. I'm looking to get 26 mm shocks but don't know what size is best for tires. I was hoping to maximize its capability outdoors but I also don't want to go too big and then have problems with body rub

Buying a new speaker, pls help

Hey everyone, I'll keep it nice and simple, but I just need a recommendation for my use case. There's an overwhelming amount of different ones on this thread which is why i'm posting.

- Budget: $180 usd tops

- Use case:

  1. Using for better sound quality when listening to music in my room
  2. Listening to music outside (for projection range, easily/comfortably able to cover a tennis court size-ish area for example)

- Size: Decently portable, something that fits well in a backpack or comfortable enough to hold by hand/by strap when moving around

- Durability: I don't need some tank, but I don't want to worry about exposure to water or other elements and get easily broken. I'd also like to use the speaker for at least a few years.

- Music: The music I listen to is a tad bit more bass-oriented.

I don't know anything about speakers, I just want something decent since I'll be using it everyday. Thank you guys so much for the help!

need help on deciding what mbp

hey everyone, i'm looking to upgrade from a mba m1, 8gig memory to a mbp. here are my use cases:
- moderate/heavy productivity (altho im sure what ill say below will take care of this well)

- light gaming (mc or some other stuff)

- vs code + ml (nothing super complicated since id just use a cloud for heavy use, but as rn, my mba will explode if i attempt to run 100 epochs on the model im trying to train.)

- music composition

i was thinking 24 gig ram, 1 tb ssd, m5 pro base chip on 14" would be enough? pls correct me if im wrong though, i'm a noob w computers. thanks.

EDIT 1:
For my budget, just looking for something that fits my needs the best. I don't mind buying new, but I also didn't want to max out the macbook pro for absolutely no reason. :) And thank you to everyone that has responded so far, I really appreciate the help!

smoothest pen?

hey everyone, i'm looking for a rly smooth pen to use for daily work/writing. i love the smoothness of the pilot 4 +1 acroball i have right now, and despite what ppl say, i feel like the jetstream 4 +1 i have is pretty rough and scratchy in comparison (idk might be defective or is the acroball that much smoother?). i was wondering if anyone had recs for anything even smoother or if i should just stick with acroball pens (im a newbie here so i don't know anything :>) im a lefty but smearing ususally isn't a problem with my grip. thanks!

refills for lochby

hey everyone, i recently bought a lochby field folio a5 and now im looking for refills for it. here are my wants:

- line spacing: 6-7 mm
- fountain pen friendly (no bleeding/feathering, dry time can be anything as long as its not outrageous)
- a5 size ofc
- price: 50 individual pages under $10
- preferably normal lined ruled, can be other format if other criteria r met
- binded (sewn/glued/wtvr)

bonus (if u can pls help out): for loose leaf, any things to use that can keep them together within the lochby while still being able to fit?!? i dont mind it being a purchase, i still would like it to be easy to open and close to add or remove loose leaf.

thank you all sm!

▲ 1 r/Shoes

recs for everyday

hey everyone, ive been looking for shoes under 150 usd that look good with shorts + normal long socks as well as wide sweats and baggy jeans. i currently have nb 9060's and like the look w the sweats and jeans but no so much w shorts since they're rly chunky. ive found a lot of normal sneakers to look pretty chopped when wearing sweats/jeans bc they look almost like platform shoes and don't take up the space as well like the 9060's.

basically, here are my wants:
- either widish like 9060's or much slimmer and lower profile (a rough silhouette of onitsuka tigers would work, but ive nvr rly liked their models/colorways specifically)
- no crazy color profile, smth thatd work well w variety
- under $150

thank yall sm in advance :).

Getting 3 impacted wisdom teeth removed tomorrow. PLEASE PROVIDE SOME INFO!

Hello everyone, I'm getting 3 wisdom teeth removed tomorrow, and they're all fully under the gum. One on the upper right, and 2 on the bottom. I believe at the check up appointment, the doctor person told me 2 of them are just going to be basic removals with the incision stuff, but one of them is a little deeper into the gum.

I've been trying to figure out what the recovery/pain would be like, so could people please provide some context on that? I'm doing the general anesthesia to go to sleep, and I'm in my teens. I'm pretty nervous, but also please don't sugarcoat anything. I'd really appreciate any insight and tips for foods/recovery and other things related to this. Thank you all so so much!!!!

edc recs under 75$

hey everyone, i'm pretty new to knives so need some help.

Looking for: edc recs under 75 (it'd be wonderful if it's under 50, but i understand there are ones out there that will provide great value).

Requirements:
- lefty friendly
- im using it for absolutely everything (a lot of variety in use basically), so smth durable that will last well without too much maintenance. i can only see myself sharpening my knife, and nothing else really haha.

thank yall in advance!

(id also appreciate a more condensed list of recs, and if people could just use their knowledge and judgement to recommend just a few for a person like me.)

EDIT: thank yall so much for the comments so far. based off of the responses/upvotes/other placed i looked, it seems like the elementum (pls specify whether its the normal or the II), iridium, and drop bear are popular options. could people give some recs out of those? thx!
