Love my doctor but

What is the point in having a nurse take my blood pressure incorrectly (arm dangling, wrong arm, cuff OVER MY ELBOW) almost every single visit and then treating me like my readings are an issue.

At home and at my other physician my numbers are controlled well. 115/70s through 120s/80s. Higher if I'm stressed or don't wait to sit before taking.

My Primary? Well I'm sitting here now after the tech left worried bc my BP is 160/90 when taken at the elbow/forearm on a loose cuff that was twisted around several times and she was adamant I leave my arm dangling.

Does it really not matter or does it?

Seeking souvenir help

My son and I were only able to attend late on Tuesday, we drove up from Louisville KY and between getting distracted by *all the things* and me ending up needing to take a break due to pain at the end of the day we missed his chance at grabbing some official merch. It was almost comical.

He was very bummed but a trooper, and I promised I'd do what I could to pad out all the free swag he did get with a surprise later...

I'm just now realizing how long the show goes and I'm hoping that maybe someone here, with a trustworthy post history, is attending later this week and would be willing to send him a surprise in the mail?

Ideally I'd send you some funds (PayPal, CashApp, Chime, whatever) and you'd pick some stuff out and mail it to him. Obviously happy to add on some beer money for the troubles and will cover shipping/handling when it's mailed.

If anyone might be willing to help, or has a better idea, please let me know...NOT looking for free stuff or pitty, not a scam, just a mom trying to correct her fuck up 🤦😅

Pic of kiddo and some plane he was freaking out over (not my hyper fixation, I retain nothing) for proof/attention...if anyone was hanging around at 8pm yesterday you probably saw him running everywhere trying to take photos lol.

New to CampSnap

Playing around with the new version, I got the orange 🍊 I come from a film and DSLR knowledge base to going back to basics and blind shooting has been fun! Definitely puts my head back in to the street photography side of things.

Any tips for blown highlights? Does this thing have any sort of metering going on inside?

I'm going to pick up a filter ASAP, I'm used to underexposing so I can lift the shadows so I'm still getting used to this guy but having fun practicing with my client dogs on their walks 🤣

Simon and Garfunkel

I have been slowly getting the trust of some crows and a few of the neighborhoods where I walk dogs, the two standouts have been this pair who I have dubbed " Simon and Garfunkel"

Usually they meet me at the school parking lot once I've started my dog walk, but today my dog was sick and I guess I was taking too long chatting with Mom about the walk cancellation that they decided to fly into the neighborhood and perch above where I had parked 😭😂

They were calling the entire time I was chatting with Mom and it was super funny because I ended up sitting my car talking to them and I'm sure she saw me out there.... I'm tempted to get a little dish to set on top of my car roof to see if I can get them to fly down with my sunroof open now.

I captured some rattle calls today, it's the first time I've heard it from them and it makes me so happy that they came looking for me!!

You can see them both perched in the first few seconds of the video, Simon is the one that I zoom in on. He's much more bold and friendly. Garfunkel has some wing damage and is a little shy ❤️

20k + a day on asphalt

What would your first choice be if your job entailed 15-30k steps a day, primarily on sidewalks and roads?

I'm doing OK at the moment with my barebones Whitins and Chacos for days I spend on trails instead, I wore the crap out of a pair of Lems Outlanders in a matter of weeks..looking to add something for when I need a recovery day but am still on my feet.

I don't have any foot pain right now but I am developing a snapping hip on the right side, no other concerns.

Anyone do similar daily steps and have input?

New here! I'm a dog walker among other things, outside all day, and recently decided to start trying to interact with crows again with good success. I have a few neighborhoods where the crows have started coming to find me every morning 😅

Figured I'd share a video from the other day, I got a group of 8-12 crows to follow me across the park we were at, much to the entertainment of some joggers 😅

Trying to perfect my crow call and it's been going well, mainly just use peanuts but going to expand into fruits and goodies soon.
