Struggling to Enjoy Emperor's Children After a Few Games, Looking for Advice

Hello All,

Since the beginning of the year, I've been working on building and painting Emperor's Children for the Grand Narrative event in Atlanta. In order to try and enjoy the event and not get totally destroyed every game, I've been practicing now that we mostly have the rules set for the forseeable future (I don't expect a change as big as the increase in Toughness/AP to come through, at least). At the end of this post, I will attach my list so you guys can see what I'm working with.

I've played 2 games so far, one against Custodes, and one against Iron hands. I don't have their lists on hand, but the Custodes list was about 17 models, all Terminator guys and large tanks, while the Space Marine army was Gravis/Terminators, 3 Deads, and a landraider.

In both games, I struggled to do much before being tabled early. I am finding it very difficult to deal damage (in the Custodes game, I killed 4 models total, in the game against Iron Hands, I did slilghtly better, elminating 2 squads before I was tabled), and the additional toughness feels more like a tax on my total points than any kind of benfit, as everything that gets touched, dies anyway. I have tried utilizing cover, but -1 to hit seems to be of little hinderance.

In both games, I went first, and charged units turn 1 with my Infractors/LEs, and so far no squad has been able to wipe an enemy squd even with Euphoric strikes. none of my units have been able to kill anything off of an advance+charge, and so far I have gained 1 coterie point across 2 games, dealing 6 mortal wounds to my Daemon Prince in the process.

All of that context, to ask for some general advice. I'm used to playin Blood Angels, and assumed I would be more lethal on the charge. Is Thrill Seekers a huge trap? should I avoid advancing so I can pump every unit into the same target? I havebeen considering cutting all marine bodies and going to 3x WDP, 3 Defilers, 2 Maulerfiends, since they have better survivability and seem to be more able to kill things, but that doesn't seem like it would be very fun for a narrative event. At the end of the day, being tabled on turn 2 is also not very fun for a narrative event either.

Any general advice would be appreciated, I don't plan to change my list until I've played 5 more games, and want to get 25 games in before the Grand Narrative to make sure that I am as prepared as possible. List below:

Advice on playing Aurora?

Hello All,

I got into Flesh and Blood around May, and Omens is my first set release. I've enjoyed playing Aurora in sealed/limited, and decided to build Aurora in Classic Constructed as I felt like I had a pretty good idea that I liked the way she played.

So far, I've had no success with her. out of 56 games, I've won 2, and every matchup I play feels completely hopeless. I feel completely locked out of the game against most of the opponents i've played against (primarily Ziggy and Gravy Bones). Am I just doing something wrong, and other people are having a lot of success, is my deck build bad, and I'm just running the wrong things, or is Aurora really just that bad?

I've attached my decklist here, if anyone wants to give me some advice. Money isn't an object, but I don't want to throw good money after bad, and would rather start over with a new deck than build out this one if nobody else is seeing positive results. https://fabrary.net/decks/01KSXSPXWMAPC77F2BX0FYE2XD

I was recently playing the Duel Masters GBA game. I have a lot of nostalgia for that series of games on the GBA, and it got me thinking about all the myriad dead TCGs that never got any kind of video game adaptation. games like Duel Masters kind of get to live on this wya, as you get to build decks, play against NPCs, and in most cases go through a kind of RPG journey with the card game. Yugioh has a ton of these, and they're great for experiencing specific moments in time, and playing formats that don't really exist anymore. Even if NPC opponents kind of stuck, you at least get to play these games in some capacity without having to track down random old cards, or print out stuff to play maybe once or twice with someone you can rope into trying the game with you.

I wish more games had these simulator/RPG type games made around them. I'd love for there to be a WWE Raw Deal TCG game for the PS2 or a Bleach TCG Xbox game that would allow me to try out these games. What are your favorite video game TCG adapatations, and what is a game you wish had one?
