Getting my first VPS and honestly not sure what matters most

I've been thinking about getting my first VPS to mess around with some small projects and learn a bit more about servers

The more I read, though, the more confused I get. Some people say performance is the most important thing, others say uptime, support, location, or just going with the cheapest option.

Since I'm still learning and not hosting anything serious, I'm curious what you all would prioritize.

Looking back, what do you wish you had paid more attention to when you got your first VPS?

Started eFootball on April 1 as F2P – My Coin Saving Journey Starts Today

I started playing eFootball on April 1, 2026 as a completely F2P player.

Today is June 26, and I currently have 325 coins.

Out of curiosity, I calculated how many coins I've earned since I started.

Coins spent: • France Pack – 1,500 • Portugal Pack – 2,000 • Coaches – 750 • Random spins (mostly when I was new) – 1,500 • Batistuta Selection Box – 500

Current balance: • 325 coins

Total coins earned since April 1: ≈ 6,575 coins

That's over a period of 86 days (about 2 months and 26 days).

Average: • Around 76 coins per day • Around 2,290 coins per month

I know this monthly average is inflated because we've had several special events and extra rewards recently. I think a more realistic long-term F2P income is probably around 1,500–1,700 coins per month.

Looking back, the 1,500 coins I spent on random spins were definitely beginner mistakes. Since then, I've changed how I spend coins. Now I only go for players or packs that I believe have long-term value or are personal favorites.

I also got incredibly lucky recently: • Free POTW Vinícius Jr. • Free POTW Cody Gakpo • Free POTW Thibaut Courtois (the one I actually wanted)

Those free pulls made it even easier to stop chasing every box.

As of today (June 26), I'm officially starting my coin-saving journey. My current balance is only 325 coins, but the goal is to save patiently and only spend when something truly worth it arrives.

Let's see how far I can go.

Has anyone here managed to save 10,000+ coins as a F2P player? How long did it take, and what finally made you spend them?
