I have a question about Knights and this is the only related sub I know. It is, technically, also magic related

I'm working on a book and the coolest character is a knight. He's a living armour.

I know nothing about actual armour or different sword styles so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Or a write a passionate essay about the different types of armours and swords.

Also, if it matters. He's an artificer, he does make his owm armour cause his body gets damaged. And I imagine him with a really cool longsword.

Finally, he can sort of stretch himself to a certain extent. Like seperating the gauntlet while keeping control up to several meters. So he uses a rope he built into the armour + spring to grappel around. Or he can swing like spiderman. Very cool concept.

And its also post Apocalyptic but this is about Knights

I haven't scene anyone discuss this, but if you pay attention at the start of 3, you can tell Jones is Strife

When I played the game, I recall Jones referring to humans as "They." A pretty clear indication he wasn't human. Given the guns, I assumed it was Strife. I felt pretty great at the reveal.

I saw this in a textbook in primary school and never forgot

Stupid reddit compression

This is *Witch Hunt - Norman Catherine*

I only ever thought of researching this fever dream of a painting last night. Its also called "Dog of War." Thats the name it had in my textbook and the how I originally found it on google.

Despite the... weirdness of it and other paintings by Catherine, it's actually pretty good. I like it. It evokes some strong emotions. But I can't clearly describe them apart from *intense* and *This is clearly something bad*

The story behind this is much more serious. Norman Catherine was a South African artist born in 1949. And his works often represent the Apartheid regime and its horrors.

The *Witch Hunt* is (to my understanding from research) a depiction of the Police in South African streets, pulling people from their homes, displacing families and commiting violent atrocities.

You can learn more about it if you want, and see other works of Norman's at: ://www.normancatherine.com

In retrospect, it, like many other works we were shown as children, holds a deep meaning that I missed. And I'm glad I remembered it and could see it from a more mature perspective.

And yes, I noticed it the first time I saw it.

Its cock is a cannon.

THIS MAN IS HIM! HIM!

I'm playing DD2, Denial. I reach the final boss.

He alone is alive. He has no health.

1 enemy remains. Full health.

He stands at Death's door every round, constantly healing and returning, always striking his opponent.

Where others fall, he remains.

Death stands ready to reap this soul, but he shall not have it.

This man does not fall, this man does not die. Stabbed in the back by his own teammate, death guaranteed.

He denies it.

He travels the line between life and death, every strike weak. But every strike unfaltering. He misses once, *once*, blind as he is.

He's healing ability blocked, his resolve tested again and again. It fails 3 times.

It succeeds once.

It matters not.

He cannot die.

He will not.

Denial before him is futile.

None can deny the Leper.

A dozen strikes while he stands at the doors of death.

He does not fall.

Denial does.

I know this is a common gripe and I don't want to be told to "educate yourself", I'm trying my best here. But it really feels as if there is no acceptable option. Every major party is playing on people's fears.
