Hi... Am I crazy for thinking this??

I finished watching the movie about an hour ago. Loved it. I was good enough not to spoil the entire thing for myself with YouTube clips this time, so I totally did not expect how the plot turned out. And it was so nice!

... Only one scene kind of made me feel uncomfortable. That is, Frank's scene in both Janet's and Brad's bedrooms. I mean, they did not want to have sex with him, both wanted to save themselves for their partner (justly, one can choose with who to have their first time, can't they?), but no he insists so much that they resign and have sex with him.

Now I'm sure I'm interpreting this the wrong way and Frank isn't the creep I'm making him to be... But does someone here have an explanation as to why this isn't problematic? This is the only thing I want to ask.

I don't intend to call the movie problematic, it's only Frank I'm talking about. Thanks to who will bother to reply. It's just these types of scenes (with non consensual sex, I mean) make me feel a liiiittle overwhelmed.

Welp. Have a great rest of your day or night. Love Gin 💗

Am I nuts or would this jacket fit for a Life On Mars look?

Was thinking of pairing this with some pants the exact color of his, which I don't know the location of right now. Well maybe not in this particular season (it gets HOT here and we're in Northern Italy 😭) but next fall I think I could rock it. What about you guys?

Does anybody have a higher resolution of this image??

I'm making some studies of the glove but I can't make out most of what's written. If anyone had this pic in higher quality or decipher the texts that would be lovely.

I don't get the hate for this song. It is so nice

It feels like being on a quiet boat sailing through a canal and watching the city on the other side at sunset. I love it

... Wow.

Listened to it for the first time today as I REALLY need to listen to more Bowie. It takes a few listens before I get to really love a song of his, so I've been very slow in my journey. Much more than I'd like to. So I've been sticking to BowieBible's song of the day for new recommendations.

Now, about this song; usually I don't like songs this long and tend to leave them for last... Glad I didn't with this one.

The first part feels like being in a haunted house at night (kinda like the creeping feeling I get when listening to the piano solo in Aladdin Sane). In the second dawn rises and the house becomes harmless. All the memories and ghosts it stores fall silent, waiting for the return of darkness. In the third, the first part is reprised (reminds be of the Sweet Thing suite, in a way? Although Candidate is very similar to the other two, while this time the "I'm a blackstar" part is very different); the sun sets and the house prepares to come to life once again.

Overall it was a intense experience. Haunting, like the album is intended to be, and self-aware with a little bit of hope. "Somebody took his place and bravely cried". I doubt someone will be able to take his place anytime soon... But that's what he said.

I had a dream I had LG saved in my phone

And at first I was like "wait I have his number??" then I vividly remembered us videocalling and stuff

And I looked through the chats and it would just be us sending each other pictures we took of I don't know, places maybe? And we'd never reply but we'd talk about it in call

And I had him saved as just "Girl"

Is this a sign

I have three words and they are... What the fuck?

Okay this morning I became OBSESSED with this song. I kinda interpret it as an artificial intelligence becoming sentient, realising the evil and depraved model it was built upon and warning the population not to listen to it. "A plague seems quite feasible now, or maybe a war, or I may kill you all". People are so dependent on the Machine and it is so disgusted with that, that it considers erasing humanity to perhaps let a more intelligent and independent kind take over. "Please don't believe me"; "Don't make me stay, my logic says burn so send me away", it was raised with evil intentions and therefore thinks in an evil way, but it is now lucid enough to know he can at least get people to stop him from doing what he will inevitably do.

From the way it's told, the narrator is the Saviour Machine.

What do you guys think? Is it a stretch?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVEEEE

Okay a bit late because in my country it's 23:42 BUT ANYWAY. Isn't it funny how 3/4 of the band are Gemini? I just always liked how most of their birthdays are so close to each other, except for Noodle; I find it rather fitting that she was born on Halloween day though. I also like that The Shining had its first release on 2D's fifth birthday, so we have two things to celebrate today. I wonder at what age he saw it, if he ever did (though I'm pretty positive he did, who didn't?)

Well, cheers :)

My English teacher is literally Morrissey

Edit: typo!!! It's literarily not literally. Thanks for pointing it out.

Mods feel free to remove if this is too unserious for the sub but this has been on my mind for such a long time. He so often complains about his job and wants to change it, sometimes can be mean/say things most don't agree with, but he's also nice and tends to help and encourage those who struggle in his class and to be fair that could be a pretty Morrissey thing to do. He's also weirdly poetic, like uses uncommon terms to indicate common things, and is obsessed with literature. I'm currently in the first year of high school and in my country we start doing English literature in the third year, but he said he wants to start teaching us the basics next year as well so we can be more prepared. And he takes entire lessons to either talk about the importance of the English language or what we're going to study from the third year on. At this point I don't even mind when he complains about us to our face because like... That's so him.

Oh, and I've asked him if he listens to The Smiths. He said no. :C

Once I was one of the people on the left... But like, let people enjoy the music. No matter how they found it, if it helped their music taste it's a good thing. I'm actually grateful to Stranger Things and such for encouraging more teens to listen to older music! And I say this as an older music loving teen.

It's hard for me to choose one. I'm very fond of the "it's got claws, it's got me, it's got youuuuuuuuuuu" or, in general, the entirety of Sweet Thing (Reprise).
