And now that I have radar…it is easy to spot. I have trained myself to also know they are going to just be narcs and do narc things, and my life is not any worse off if they just are not in it. So I have learned to avoid them if possible. Sometimes I get all wound up if I was friends with them before I was “aware” of how they are. And then I am able to escape the conversation or interaction and all I can think is “shew! Thank goodness I don’t live in their house.” Or “thank goodness I don’t have to be in their friend circle.” It is unbelievable the relief being able to leave it where I saw them and the bad feelings not follow me home.

Anyone else?? My only advice, stay away and don’t feel bad about doing so. It never goes well. Even if u r not related, narcs are still going to be narcs.
