Do you feel less of a property manager because you do storage vs apartment/mobile home park?

Hi everyone!

I’ve been a property manager for various storage facilities for about 10+ years.

Recently someone asked me what I did for work and I told them I was a property manager. When they further asked and found out it was at a storage facility they commented “thats not real property management” which then got me thinking if I’m falsely advertising my job position.

In my opinion I do everything a property manager at an apartment building/mobile home park would do, minus evictions etc. Its obviously different, but I don’t feel less than just because its storage.

What are your thoughts?

Storage to Mobile Home/ Apartment management.

I’ve been working as a property manager in the storage industry for about 10+ years. Just wondering how easy/difficult the transition would be to go into being a property manager at a mobile home park. Has anyone done this? I just don’t see the potential for growth at my current company.

Should I take another Ella?

Had unprotected sex 6/14 and took an Ella, then had unprotected sex again on 6/16 or 6/17 (don’t remember exactly which day).

Both times he “pulled out”. Should I take another Ella to be safe?

Do you ever feel safe?

I recently purchased my home and moved in. This is my first time living alone EVER and I’m finding it so hard to feel safe. The idea of someone breaking in keeps me up at night. I don’t even feel comfortable going to my basement or showering once the sun is down.

Ive done numerous things to try and feel safe. I changed all the locks, added deadbolts, cameras at every entry point, I have a gun and pepper spray by my nightstand and my property is fully fenced (besides the front). Lighting all around as well.

I don’t want to get a dog since I work a lot and wont be able to give it attention

At this point I feel I’m being paranoid, but I also feel like I’ll never feel comfortable. Any advice?
