What's Tidal (new) monthly subscription when subscribing from the smartphone app?

Just to be curious I tried it today and it asks me a $14.99 subscription prize. I don't know if that considers an extra as an "inscription" or something like that, plus the regular monthly subscription. I've read that they were going to raise it to $11.99 .

My Tidal monthly subscription ended yesterday. Didn't know if to continue until the fake artists and the different artists under the same name issues aren't (almost) totally fixed. But this $14.99 makes me stay away from going back. As I usually say, is the most beautiful app with the worst problems. Any suggestion? Thx

Dou you think mayor changes will be noticed since July the 15th or it will be gradually and slowly?

As always, I like Tidal's profound artist and album info, design, connect and the recommendations for me are good. But as I like info, It stitches me when a fake song/album is under the official profile. There's a singer, Jordan Patterson, that seems very interesting to me, but her profile in Tidal is completely wrong. I think is responsibility of the artist label to upload the right profile? If so, how come they upload the wrong one or how come Tidal mix one with another? Do you think this issues will change in the date they're saying or It will take many more months?

Anybody has only digital albums with today's music and uses no platform?

Does anyone has a collection of digital (also physical) new bands made from recommendations and releases read or heard in some Instagram profiles or radios, instead of using any platform at all?

Beside radio stations and Bandcamp to listen some songs before purchasing, is there any other similar option to Bandcamp? I'm looking also to some Spanish speaking rock/indie bands.

I like Tidal, but I'll wait to see if there are any changes to the AI, fakes and artists under the same profile before continuing with their service (the same story was told around october and the thing got worse, and today I've spent 15 min., notifying a fake Sorry, fake Devo, fake The Kooks instead of listening to music, seems that with any announcement there's a new invasion).

Thanks.

Keep the subscription or wait for the changes?

Knowing the announcements (have in mind there were come of these around October las year and the issue got worst) what do you recommend, to keep the subscription as supporting the Tidal project and having confidence in the changes (no fake artists under real one's profile, AI tagged, etc.) or move to other platform and come back when/if the issues are almost solved?

New (?) "about the song" option + comment on artists profiles

There is a new(?) about the song option. I like it a lot since when I like a song and artist I want to know something more about the band. I would like that some artists take it more seriously and let Spotify use the TiVo journalists' review in their profiles instead of posting childish things (when that's the case).

Any rumour on YTM upgrading to CD quality and stop filtering AI into the releases?

Any rumour on YTM upgrading to CD quality and stop filtering AI into the releases?

I'm into Google ecosystem and would like them to have a pro approach otherwise than the only profit about the business. Any rumour about CD quality rolling out and stop filtering AI?

Lost fight

A new fake song under the Air profile, and recommended by the app. This week: Aurora, The Kooks (fake albums and two profiles), Sorry, the Air one. Some might say this is an issue in all platforms. I don't think so. Not at least in the subscriptions. The free tiers, maybe. Unfortunately, I have to recognize this to Spotify, when I was a paying user, no fakes. Believe me, I love how Tidal looks, the album/artist info, its connect option. Some users can tolerate the fakes. I'm sort of tired of having to check if a song is from the band or not. Very sorry.

Does it work to report fakes and repeated artists to Tidal support mail?

Hello, does it work to report fakes and repeated artists to Tidal support mail? I' ve just noticed two The Kooks profiles. One has thousand of followers (I assume this is the official one) and the other just 175. Also, in the first one there are five fake albums. I've sent an email to Tidal support and attached the screenshots.

Are Tidal playlists human curated? Plus what I like, don't (only one thing) and would like to have

Tidal is supposed to be very human driven in their playlist. But since some personnel cuts, a lack of public image of their editors' (Qobuz and Spotify show them in Instagram talking about their selection) I don't know how much of humans are into the musical editions.

I like Tidal anyway: its design, it can stream high audio quality to my speakers, it has information about the artists and in many cases about the album, it has I think everything I want and I feel that it has a better discovery section or at least more variety than the Spotify one, and I can send a nice card to anyone in WhatsApp to share songs and they're able to open it in their preferred app. I get mad with the fakes that every now and then get into some artist I follow or playlist. And I would like a concerts near me info.

What to do?

I'm in a silly situation, between staying in Tidal or moving back to Spotify, cause for me Tidal offers what I like and need, could have some concerts info, that I also like, but Spotify is the most complete, but has too much of everything. Even though, they're showing the faces of their human editors as Qobuz does, which is good, but Tidal keeps a little bit secretive in those regards, and since they have fired some people a couple of years ago, I don't know how of human it is.

I can't. Love it, but will have to break up?

I can't. Today, the fake FEAR (a sort of Asian AI band?) posts, and the automatic Tidal system uploads it and shows as a new upload of my followed artist (I began to follow the real FEAR yesterday). I want, I try, Tidal has a nice design, info, etc., but the fakes are delusional, uncomfortable, a little stone in the sox. Some just pass over it. I have to constantly check if the band or song is real or not. And isn't simple to list the fakes in the customer support section. Seems that it has to be done only in the web browser in a computer and I listen a lot of music on the commute, so I have to write down, remember, to do it at home. Anyway.

When making peace, they do it again

I really try with Tidal. I've "discovered" Fear, the LA band, I get into their profile, and the first thing is a fake artist. They've checked the Cream and Air fakes, but then, the Aurora one that appeared in my Friday arrivals, plus the Fear issue. I like Tidal a lot, design, artist, band info, connect option, the bones to be the best are there, but is kind of upsetting to have to be aware of fakes, check if something is fake, and, how  allegedly paying more to the artists is better if they're competing against fakes? Anyway, if there's a definitive upgrade in Tidal, I'll come back.

Would like couple of things...

I would like Tidal to post in social media shorts with their editors' briefly reviewing their picks. Also, if possible, announce the concerts of the artists I follow. I'm aware there are most important things before that for them to correct (they did clean Cream and Air profiles, but a fake Aurora song appeared, and that sort of things), but I keep leaving and returning to Tidal cause I like its principles, how it looks and the bands info, but I would like to see that human presence.

Best approach, but the fake continues. Should I keep ignoring them?

Again, I love the approach, the bios, the comprehensive album info, the sweet audio quality, connect, pro design, photos. I'm trying it to be my default platform, but I find the fakes annoying. Should I keep ignoring them? My monthly subscription has just renewed. And a fake Donovan appears in the releases. Don't know how this helps the artists if they have to compete with fakes. Obviously, the new artists aren't too exposed to this. There's still the fake Air in the official profile. There are two Cream profiles. There are asian pop named Cream into the profile. If the artist page is the artist's responsible, so I have to think they don't think in Tidal as a priority? That the system is too automatic? That this has to do with a Tidal employees cut? Is an issue about money for a cryptocurrency name as Block Inc? Are they developing a revolutionary system that will control all these? I hope so, cause they have the potential to be the best. I know that changes can't be done from one month to another, but this is one of the most notorious issues and it keeps after months the Tidal DRI told in Reddit that they are aware of these issues. This was around, what, seven months ago? And they knew about these issues months ago that. And my monthly subscription has just renewed and the fakes came back to be notorious. Anyway, I know this is a repetitive complain. Thx.

Keep trying, but two Cream account or artists profiles, two Allman brothers band profiles. This issue keeps appearing

I Like Tidal, said it many times. Design, profiles, connect, sound. And I'll keep saying it. I know (or I assume) they're working on fixing repeated bands, identifying different artists in the same profile, filtrate AI, etc. And I know it can't be suddenly done from one time to another. But since the AMA Reddit, and considering they know this more time ago, maybe is at least six months and things, I don't know, they're too slowly changing. I have a sensation that there's less AI in the releases. But this little errors are hidden everywhere and from time to time I stumble upon these.

Option for artists concerts announced?

I was wondering if someone knows if there is any possibility that Tidal will add this service anytime soon. I know they have now other (more urgent) priorities, but just to know if there's something about this in the horizon.

I like It, despite all

Every now and then, I quit the app, move to Qobuz (sometimes Spotify because, let's face it, has it all and works, beside their ethics, AI constant and pushing offer, etc, or Apple Music). All has their pros and cons. But I keep coming back to Tidal since I first used it. With all its flaws, for me, Tidal is the one I like the most in design, in the Tidal Direct Control (or connect) option, audio quality, artists bio, album reviews, the detailed info about who did what In the album (also cover designer or photographer). What makes me leave are the things we all know and that they are trying to solve: AI (there are two Cream profiles, one with the Royal Albert Hall concert and other without and both with thousands followers, two Black Midi profiles, an Evangelical singer in the José González profile, things that each team I stumble upon one I say "god, No!", and I have to double check if it's a new release or a fake. But, as I said, I like its attitude towards music, the magazine, looks and sounds incredible. Also, obviously beside the AI thing, will love a concert dates near me in the app, and something else In their social platforms (Qobuz has a thing where staff pics their preferred album covers or talks about the editorial picks). Also, If there's anyway in which we users can custom our app erasing what we don't want, or an open official channel where with a protocol we can upload what is AI or fake or repeated profiles. I also think that artists may pay more attention to their profiles in these apps. Anyway, wanted to share my thoughts and experience until the next time I say "no more Tidal" and will keep coming back.

Store CDs in a booklet, right or wrong?

Hi, what do you think? It's ok to store (some) CDs in the booklets with CD sleeves (I don't know the technical name, sorry) or is a sacrilege and a purist should only store CDs in its boxes and pile them in shelves for CDs?

Editor's choice playlist, other human curated playlists?

I like the Editor's choice. I know Spotify has also human editors. Anyone knows if there are any other human curated playlists or how to identify those? Thx.

Anyone knows if there will be also album "bios" anytime soon?

Anyone knows if there will be also album "bios" anytime soon? Is an option I would like to have. I like listening albums, the bio of the band/artist and when available, the one of the album when it's an important one, or a turning point in the band/artist career. I think that that option may make Spotify totally complete, the definitive music app.
