Wishful Surface User Here
Hello community 👋
I am in need of a new laptop & I’ve always wanted a Surface but dear Lord the new ones are expensive! I’m a teacher, so my bank account is always broken 😞 I tried shopping by myself but I suck at this. I need it to be as affordable as possible but be able to:
- work on all windows programs (word, excel, PPT, outlook, etc)
- watch some tv
- play basic games (solitaire, for example)
- do my homework!!!
If I can’t get one I can afford, such is life. But regardless of what I end up with, what are the specs I should be looking for when I shop for something new? Id like to still get a convertible tablet to laptop setup if possible.
Any feedback is appreciated and TIA! 😁

I do not expect to end up doing an all green spread, but here we are. Not bad, if I do say so myself!

I’m so giddy!
Maybe it’s cuz I had a good first day back to work, but I’m ecstatic at my first field notes package!!! They sent a sticker AND a pen AND a notebook strap - and some literature and I’m just so pleasantly surprised at the extra goodies.
I’ve jumped on the bandwagon!!!

It fits!!!
Just got the xteink and it fits in my passport cover setup! I was about to carry everything in an Ipsy bag bag if I had to buy a cover - the choices are overwhelming!!! Now to make sure I can fit the field notes when they get here tomorrow 😳

New to notebook journaling but I’m loving it!!!
I started watching YouTube videos on mini notebooks and fell down a rabbit hole! I had these things laying around so I put them together and BAM - I now have an edc which for years I only associated with electric daisy chain 🤪 iykyk
Anyway, the passport holder is generic, the first notebook is a moleskine cahier, I have a dollar tree mini comp notebook behind it, and the stickers are from happy planner and hobby lobby. The front one & the pen idk where I got. I got so hooked I ordered the field notes subscription & the xteink reader, but I think I need a bigger cover. Any budget suggestions for this newbie??

Suggestions for sci-fi/dark academia/historical fiction?
I know there’s no such thing as too many books but idek where to start reading and I have to finish my masters so… I have to cancel two of my three accounts 😢 😢 😭 I’ll close one this month & one next month, maybe.
Suggestions on what to get? My favorite books are The Maidens, Secret History, Evelyn Hugo, etc
Edit: I would need to choose a current month book to order? I think I might like:
- Shrouded Queen
- Nymph
- The Children
- Worry Dolls

Bad days call for pretty things. And coffee.
Got bad news about my internship 😞 so I needed some retail therapy. So I worked on making my Coach a travelers notebook. Far from done but at least it’s pretty to look at.
My kid said things always work out but I did a lot for this school. And the principal is still actively sabotaging me. Excuse me for having morals and ethics!
Time to fix my resume. And drink my coffee 😢

The Book Shelter in Winter Haven is so good to me!!! Anytime I can get BOTM books plus a few more I’m happy 😁 I wanted the Future Saints for so long and they came through for me 💖
