Returning to sax after 9 years

I have finally returned to the idea of playing sax after 9 years! I still have my old alto and soprano and I still remember all the fingerings and some scales. I have a permanent mark on my lower lip from my embouchure from playing through all of grade school, so it came back so quickly :) Any recs on what books I should work through to get back into it?

Making a decision on stenting, seeking advice based on others experiences

I was recently told that I would be a good candidate for an iliac stent to help my pain, but the Dr gave me a few considerations. I am young (27) and married just over a year ago. I want to have kids in a few years. The main consideration is that with a stent I’d have a higher risk of clotting during pregnancy and would need to take lovanox. She told me I can choose to just have venoplasty (ballooning the vein to stretch it, nothing gets implanted), but that this would be a temporary solution.

I know I will definitely eventually get the stent, but right now I’m weighing the slightly elevated pregnancy risk vs the pain and discomfort that I currently feel regularly. Can people who’ve gotten pregnant with the stent let me know how it was?

Thank you!!

Need help with gift for husband

My husband is defending next month and I am going to get him a gift with an engraving. I just defended last month, but even I can’t decide which format would be better or which I’d personally prefer so I thought I’d ask the masses to get a general feel.

Which option would you prefer:

  1. Dr. First Last
  2. First Last, Ph.D.
  3. Dr. First Last, Ph.D.

Thanks for your help in my informal data collection 🫡
