Can anyone tell me what's the deal with this episode?

Don't get me wrong, it's a great episode with so much stuff we wanted to see. 😘

But it always just feels a little... off, like I missed an episode or two that should've come before. It immediately starts with Gus beating himself up about something we didn't actually get to see, as Willow apparently got hurt because of him... somehow, and then he's struggling with his choice of majoring in illusion magic, which I think we're also hearing about for the first time and it also seems tied to that vague prior incident.

And he also somehow immediately knows that Luz wants to borrow his library card to see Amity, and his statement as well as Luz' reaction both strongly imply that this has apparently been a regular occurrence for quite some time now. But how and when is that supposed to have happened? Was there a time skip that was just never mentioned in any way, shape or form? Or did I miss something really obvious?

Alright, let's talk about something a little more positive about the new music video: Like, how cute / cool are these girls?!

Why do you think everyone immediately seems to react like this when they enter the Circus?

Granted, that's really only two data points from Pomni and Ragatha, with Kinger and Scratch probably being calmer because they had some idea of what's going on.

But isn't it still kinda weird that they both immediately terrified, panicking and asking for an exit, although the arrived like just 5 seconds ago?

Because presumably they put on the headset for a reason, right? Most likely just curiosity to see what it does, but that means they should've expected to see... something, so a digital world like the Circus should not be completely surprising, let alone horrifying.

Wouldn't you normally kinda expect them to still look around rather curiously at first and trying to to figure out what they just stumbled into, instead of their very first impulse being to rip the headset off themselves right there and then?

What do you think is the matter with that?

[D&D] Is anyone in the Forgotten Realms trying to reconnect?

It has been asked a number of times now who the Forgotten Realms are actually forgotten by, and apparently it's us, as they were connected to our world at some point, but now for some reason we're cut off from them and vice-versa.

But have the Forgotten Realms forgotten about us, as well? Or does anyone still remember what once was and might try to restore the connection? Would that even be possible, at least in theory? Are there other realms that could become disconnected like ours, and is anyone worried about that?

Guys, I think I figured out why it had to be Niffty who caught that stray.

It seems kinda weird why Vox would drag her into this, instead of just being condescending to Charlie herself again, doesn't it?

Well, apparently it was necessary to include her in this scene and briefly focus the point of view on her, although she doesn't even get text and doesn't really have anything to do in it, in order to fix / avoid a continuity error.

Because when Charlie is finally fed up with Vox and Velvette, Vaggi is standing up for her to throw them out, threatening them with her angelic spear. Which would be nothing out of the ordinary, as she has used it in multiple similar situations throughout S1.

Except that back then, she was basically always carrying it around with her, while in S2 she's more often seen without it, and right then it was still fixed to the train, and she notably didn't get it when she saved Husk and Angel at the last second, so the train moved on with it.

And it also would've been kinda weird for Vaggi to just leave Charlie's side during a high tension scene with emotional and other stakes like that, to quickly fly away and get it. So when she suddenly pulls it up off-screen to shove it in Vox' face, it kinda seems like she just had it behind her back like an oldschool cartoon character or summoned it into her hand Thor's Hammer style.

But apparently, during the short moment the camera panned away from her, Niffty must've walked up to her and brought her the spear, which is unusually forward thinking of her, as she should've seen no direct reason why Vaggi would need it.

It seems they are mostly trying to work within the system of the Empire, trying to expose corruption and treason, but what's the point?

As we have clearly seen, there are no actual binding laws that'd apply to everyone, like the rule of law, or any boundaries that someone sufficiently powerful and useful like Trent Ikithon cannot cross.

The only way to ever actually face any consequences for any of your actions, seems to be if it somehow offended the local tyrant, or their madman of a king himself. But even then, you just have to convince him that your actions will somehow benefit his lust for power, and all is forgiven.

So, is all of the Cobalt Soul seriously of the opinion that this Empire could somehow be reformed, even now? Or are there any factions, who see that meaningful change would require it to end or at least the political order to be fundamentally changed?
