My girlfriend and I had been dating for 3.5 years. I trusted her and never had any issues with her ever going behind my back. Last weekend she celebrated her best friends birthday at her apartment. Her friend invited her boyfriend and his friends who she has never met before. The next few days go by and all is normal and we hangout like we normally do. 3 days later my girlfriend and her friend hangout and my girlfriends friend tells her that she had sex with one of the guys at the party. My girlfriend was completely shocked and had zero memory of this happening. She told me instantly and broke down and apologized countless times. She is starting to go to therapy and seek help. I understand she feels terrible and would not have done this sober. However there’s so many questions that I have. The other two girls at this party were also apparently black out and don’t remember anything according to them. All of our information stems from this random guy who told my girlfriend’s friends boyfriend. What’s killing me is if she was flirting with him beforehand even when she was blackout, is this cheating?, who is this kid? Who remembers what really went on? I’m just so lost and need to know how to handle this going forward.
