Our black smoke boy!

Photos of him in various adorable poses. Some with his twin brother who passed a few months back now. They were inseparable! He’s about 11 now. Peanut Butter.

Although no papers, they were oopsies from an oriental shorthair and domestic. Both boys are polydactyl on all four paws and very large framed.

Small red bumps over a month after IV removal, are they permanent?

I had a serious infection (cellulitis after cat bite on hand) and was on IV antibiotics for about 8 days. I had serious issues with my veins blowing and being extremely hard to access (often needing multiple nurses and one nurse tried half a dozen times on me in one setting)

I still have all these red raised dots from where the IV lines were. When I push on them and release, they stay coloured a bit. They remind me of the raised scar I got on my leg from a wasp sting. They do not hurt or itch. Just have a lot and curious if they’re now permanent or maybe any ideas as to what they actually are?

All photos are of different iv attempts or successful lines, the worst (largest) of the bumps is actually the last line they success did, but needed to be pulled a bit early from pain during infusion.

Obviously not an emergency. This was about 5 weeks ago now.

10 years since last flare. Anyone else?

I haven’t had a flare of my cold urticaria in about 10 years. I recently developed cellulitis and an abscess after a nasty cat bite. I was on IV antibiotics for 8 days and switched to oral antibiotics for 6 to finish. About 2 weeks post antibiotics, I developed a rash over all of my joints while I was sitting in my basement (it’s older and often sits around 18-19c or 65f). My mom right away figured it was my cold urticaria and got me to warm up and I took a Benedryl. It cleared up in under an hour.

It’s now consistently triggered on my joints when they get too cold for too long. I am having to wear long sleeves and pants inside, HOWEVER, it’s been a week of this and I will say my threshold for temperature has definitely increased. I can be out of socks and blankets and not get any hives now. They’re mostly popping up on my elbows and quickly go away if I warm them up.

Anyone else experience a return after this long? I was a kid when I last had these, I’m in my mid twenties now. I suspect this will go away soon, but mostly curious. I have read and heard from some people that also had this happen and it went away in a few weeks for them.

Currently taking 20mg cetirizine (reactine) a day cut in two, 5k vitamin d3 plus k, 100mg quercetin and some other supplements hoping they help.

HA acting up a bit, doing pretty well so far.

I had super severe HA flair a few years back and got it mostly under control. Of course I’m always tested and have to reel myself back in.

I am actually going through a medical condition right now with cellulitis and I’m being looked after, but I’m really being pushed to my limits the last few days.

I have my mom with me since she’s my medical person and advocate which is very good. She lets nurses know I have HA and they make sure I’m okay with how everything is working and what my health plans are.

I’m currently hooked up to an at home IV machine with antibiotics and have a migraine from the stress and lack of sleep. I think I’ve been doing well considering, but can it be exhausting dealing with two conditions at once (physical and mental)

Another ban for me

Not posting the names of anyone, but after I made my comment, I was almost instantly banned from news… the main place you get news on Reddit banned me, meanwhile the whole post is filled with wishes for violence, misinformation and comments like the one I replied to.

I checked the rules. I did not violate them and like half or more of the people on that news post did. Unbelievable.

▲ 2 r/ponds

The pond is dirty atm due to me moving things around and kicking up a dirt layer on the bottom.

my question is, should I add beneficial bacteria? is there any benefit to it? My pond does not have any fish! it’s for wildlife and plants.

I did notice a bit of a fart smell when I was kicking up the dirt in the deep area. I just turned the pump on for the season (all I use is a standard pump in a mesh bag and the frog fountain)

There is a native lily in the middle, you can’t see it due to the dirt, but it’s growing nicely already :)

▲ 19 r/eyes

When I was young many people would say I had blue, green, both or grey. When people ask I often say I think they’re grey. Still some scepticism.

Other eyeball I forgot to post: other eye pic

Here they are in a couple different lighting situations. They can look like they change colour.
