DBH musical timeline (hear me out)

Ok this has been discussed before, but this week is the last week, and I may or may not be suffering from withdrawals. After watching DBH for the 7th time two weeks ago, here's my theory about the timeline and some of the events (I'm basing it on the Chicago premiere in 2023):

- First part of the musical is meant to be 10 years ago, Madeline and Ernest wedding is probably sometime 2013. They are both in their early 40s (edit: originally had late 30s but someone pointed out Earnest reference to her age later). Madeline is an established Hollywood actress doing a Broadway show, (don't know if she was a two time nominee yet) and Hellen is a starving writer who already had a few heartbreaks and career sit backs

- shorty after her wedding and Space Jam 3 (which was already in production 😆), Madeline career seems to have started showing signs of winding down. She did Dogstronaut movie late 2013 or early 2014.

- Helen went to the 'health spa' in 2013, but escaped I mean released in 2017 after deciding Madeline needs to be eliminated.

- Hellen comeback around 2023/2024. At this point mad hasn't worked in 10 years which makes me think Dogstronaut was such a flop, it ended her career. Remember, Chance is a gen Z, I'm assuming this is his first job out of college or he's a starving acror making ends meets

- final part is 2073 or so (the cemetery). Enjoy the grounds.. Semester 😆

Thoughts? 😂

Steffy, you dropped this 👑 queen

(Thai is about 17 June episode)

Ok credit where credit is due. While hardly original, I have to say the storyline with Steffy summoning Hope and asking her to come back is a queen move, and super satisfying to watch. She's basically delivering on her promise to Brooke, and at the same time cornering hope to see exactly what is going on with her (her intuition is always spot on)..this is a pro move for sure

That's why she's our favorite fictional CEO (Ridge is decor)

United reveals new 'mouth watering' Polaris menu

Apologies if this was shared, but given the ongoing discussion about Polaris food, figured I should post. And yes quotes intentional around 'mouth watering' 😆

What do we think? I have to say the presentation looks beautiful and the chefs do seem talented, but I wonder how well this will be implemented

Aaron Viet and Jojo are suddenly available...

Aaron Tveit and Jojo are suddenly available... to close Moulin Rouge

I'm trying to think glass is half full here, but I'm truly sorry for Aaron and the cast of Chess, especially Jojo who has probably been rehearsing for weeks now to not even play a show. That's just not right

But maybe this means they can play the last few weeks of Moulin Rouge? I saw Jojo and she was amazing as Satine, and I would love to see the original Christian!

Edit: darn autocorrect butchering Aaron's last name 😱, can someone fix the title? So embarrassing 🙈

Amazing experience at Maybe Happy Ending thanks to an amazing Usher!

I just got back from Maybe Happy Ending, and while the show was great as ever (2nd time I see it, love the new Oliver! Darren Kriss would be proud), my experience was even better thanks for an amazing, kind usher.

I was fourth row Mez right, which was a decent seat, but it was two minutes before the show start and half of row A mezz was empty. The lady behind me and her friend asked if they can change their seats, he said yes but they do have late seating policy and might ask them to go back. I turned around and asked him if I can change my seat too, he told me the same thing

We did! The three of us moved to row A and had better seats. Needless to say no one showed up. At the end of the show I went up and thanked him, he really could have told us No, and no one would blame him, but he was so kind and laid back, and had the most positive vibe!

Theater etiquette: Moulin Rouge

So yesterday the theater gods smiled at me as I snagged a last minute ticket to Moulin Rouge, seen it before but wanted to say goodbye. I was lucky to get row C smack center, which is front row orchestra (right in front of the T shaped cat walk). It was an amazing seat! Sensory overload and I loved it.

To my left were tourists, to my right were locals. Three songs into the show the tourist couples started singing. I ignored it at first but then looked their way, they got the hint and stopped.

Now, after intermission, just when the lights are dimmer, I see a bright screen to my right, I was like ok maybe a quick text... But it stayed on. It was extremely distracting and frankly disrespectful to the performers on the stage! And guess what? THE LADY WAS GOOGLING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SHOW! it kept going on for what seemed to be a minute. I waited for a moment when the actors were away from us and I nicely leaned over and asked her to turn it off

To her credit, she did turn it off and put it in her pocket, but ,,, in what world is googling in the middle of a show a thing? Right there, 2 feet from the actors?

I had to say something! I hope I didn't make her feel uncomfortable but it didn't feel right to just stay quiet.

So in the time israel made headlines for tear-gasing Palestinian kids protesting illegal Israeli settlers blocking their schools:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/apr/13/israeli-forces-fire-teargas-at-schoolchildren-holding-west-bank-sit-in

The board of education approves 'israel day' , on OUR TAX FUNDED HIGH SCHOOL PROPERTY! This Sunday , mother's day, WTF?

Why? I know we are not supposed to discuss this and keep it local, but why are they shoving israel in our face? In our high school?
