Lines through my monitor

Hi! I know absolutely nothing about pcs, I bought mine off of my sister, bought my monitor new, this issue started only two months after purchase.

These lines appeared going horizontally across my screen randomly. I don’t move or touch the monitor, so i couldn’t have damaged it by hand. It looks like the monitor still works where the lines are, I can see my mouse inside the lines if I position it correctly. The monitor also has less noticeable lines through the whole thing, like an old tv.

How could i fix this? Do i need a new chord or a new monitor? Or is it just a setting thats screwed up?

Putting my dog down

Im 18, my dog is 16. I think it’s time to think about putting him down, and I don’t know how to come to terms with that.

He’s partially blind and deaf, been like that for a few years and functioned fine like that. Recently his arthritis in his back kegs has gotten worse, and Hes now having accidents in my bed and just all around the place. He just lays in it, i don’t think he even knows. If I pick him up wrong he yelps, and he’s having a harder time walking around than he use to.

I know it’s time to consider putting him down, for his own sake, but I cant help but feel like im killing him. He’s my best friend, I’ve known him since I could remember and he’s always been by my side. Im scared that I’ll put him down when it’s not his time, and cut his life short when he could’ve gotten better.

How do I come to terms with putting down my best friend? How do I know thats whats truly the best option for him? :(

How did I wake up on time?

A few days ago I set work alarms for 7:30am, 8:30am, and 9am. I went to sleep at like 4am, fully prepared to be exhausted the next day.

I woke up at 7:25am and went back to sleep. Woke up at 8:35 and get ready for the day.

While getting ready, I realized none of my alarms were going off like usual. Come to find out, I set them all for PM and not AM.

My question is how did I still wake up on time, not once, but twice?

I have no sunlight leading to my room, and Im completely reliant on my phone’s clock to tell the time for me. Im usually quite time blind.
On a regular given day I start work at 1-3pm, and sleep until I absolutely need to get up, so im not use to waking up so early. I went to sleep fully thinking I had set my alarms correctly too, so I don’t see how nerves could’ve woke me up.
