I'm trying to install a skid plate from Emperor Racing and unless I'm actually retarded, this is not possible. I have the foam along my frame which I would like to keep if I can.

I can get one side of the cross brace started but it doesn't seem possible for the other side to grab the threads...if the cross brace was notched it wouldn't be an issue but they're not. I don't have a grinder or Dremel and it's aluminum.

What do?

Hoping for some insight. It's in a bed where bergamot is supposed to be growing. Google lens thinks it's Lemon Balm. Thoughts?
