Will expressvpn step up and make it work for sites like SBS on Demand, previously workable during last world cup

I had a recent experience where i setup expressvpn to split tunneling, bypassing all apps except firefox, to watch the champions league final. All was fine, and the expressvpn was disconnected after the match. Firefox continue to work several days until today where it totally cannot connect to network.
Work out all avenues with AI until I remove the split tunneling rules even though expressvpn was not used, and the problem resolves!
Apparently using split tunneling, even if the vpn was disconnected, this spilt tunnel rules can still be lingering for apps set to work when connecting expressvpn.
Referring to the latest update, where users are given choice to choose effort of model between low, medium, high, max (and also adaptive thinking), my use of Sonnet 4.6 medium with adaptive thinking returns with mixed bag results.
Unlike previous Sonnet 4.6 with adaptive thinking, often the answers comes with things overlook, and answers based on assumptions not verified (previous suggestion to user that user never confirmed if taken up, or hallucinations.)
Using Sonnet 4.6 high with adaptive thinking, it seems to overthink a lot more = using more tokens.
In this scenario, has anyone tried both Sonnet 4.6 high vs Sonnet 4.6 high with adaptive thinking, if i can downgrade to reduce token used while maintaining accuracy?
I have an issue with Avira flagging request to printwithwave.co blocked. I thought i had downloaded malware accidentally (coincidence with my download of gog games and third party mods). Reinstall windows fully (delete all partition, reinstall via usb).
After less than one week, the same request came out. I was working with claude to find where this comes from, until accidentally when i see my unused edge for some reason cannot set secure dns, and was pointed to check policies of edge in registry.
A shock to me when i see a sub folder under edge
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\LocalNetworkAccessAllowedForUrls, with the following
(Default) REG_SZ (value not set), 1 REG_SZ https://www,xyaz.cn
Googled and found https://www,xyaz.cn is the chinese website of memu.
I've been using memu player for quite a few for emulator games and never knew it could silently write into my registry!!!
