Captchas are deliberately gaslighting us so we beg for digital IDs

honestly convinced that the "select all squares with a bus" tests are completely rigged now.

I just spent like three full minutes clicking slowly fading pictures of traffic lights just to log into a basic forum. every time I got it right it just faded into a blurrier motorcycle. My theory is they aren't even using this to train self driving cars anymore. they just want to psychologically break us

the legacy tech companies are making the traditional web so insanely annoying to navigate as a real person that we're gonna happily embrace new verification methods just to end the suffering. like when u see newer systems like world building out actual open networks to verify humanness, it starts looking less like a futuristic concept and more like a necessary escape hatch.

at this point im completely bought in. i will gladly use a secure identity protocol if it means I never have to squint at a pixelated crosswalk while a robot judges me ever again. it’s weaponized inconvenience plain and simple.

I’m so drained right now. Work is killing me, I’m barely sleeping, and this tooth on the lower left has been bothering me for weeks. It throbs when I eat or drink anything cold, wakes me up at night sometimes. I kept putting it off because adult stuff feels impossible when you’re this tired. Today I finally forced myself to go to Dr. Sobia at Urbn Dental in Houston. Walked in half-dead expecting the worst, but it was actually okay. Calm spot with coffee, nice and gentle team, they used a quiet scanner instead of the old noisy x-rays, and the cleaning didn’t feel terrible. Dentist said it looks like a small cavity starting.

Now I’m home, still exhausted, and I have no idea what to do next. Should I get the filling done right away or can I wait a little?

Meisner, Stanislavski, Adler, Method acting, etc, in school or theory it’s one thing, but in real auditions, set work, or stage performances, do you find yourself sticking to one system, or mixing different techniques depending on the role? What made you commit to that approach specifically, and has it changed the way you prepare for characters in a noticeable way?

My brother’s in Year 13 and honestly, the pressure on him right now is unreal. He’s always been the laid-back one in our family, but this year it’s like the weight of the world’s landed on his shoulders.

The other night, I walked past his room at 1am and he was still at his desk, surrounded by a proper fortress of textbooks, half-drunk tea, and highlighters.

He didn’t even notice me, just kept flicking through his notes like he was hoping the answers would jump out. The next morning, he looked absolutely shattered, but when I asked if he was alright, he just shrugged it off and said he was fine - classic.

I’d love to help him but, truthfully, I barely remember my own A-Levels (pretty sure I blocked them out on purpose).

He’s not the type to ask for help either, which makes it worse.

I remember when I tried to offer him a bit of advice the other day, he just sort of grunted and changed the subject to football.

That’s just him – bottle it up and hope it sorts itself out.

I’m tempted to book him a few proper revision sessions as a bit of a lifeline before exams. Had a scroll through Tutorextra – looks decent, but there’s so many tutors it’s a bit of a minefield.

Has anyone actually used it for A-Levels???

Is it worth getting someone in at this stage, or is it just better to let him slog through YouTube like everyone else?

If anyone’s got recommendations for tutors who actually know their stuff

Cheers in advance.

I run marketing for a growing DTC wellness brand. We’ve got solid data sitting in Shopify, Klaviyo, Segment, and our own product analytics, but right now our personalization is still fairly basic, mostly broad segments and simple triggered flows.

We’re at the point where we want to move to real-time, behavior-based journeys (e.g. different offers based on browsing history + past purchases + engagement level) but building all the logic and orchestration ourselves would be a massive engineering lift.

For those of you who have implemented a CDP or similar automation layer:

How did you structure the data flow and activation rules?

What use cases gave you the biggest lift in revenue or retention?

How much custom development was still required after the platform was live?
