Here on the Olympic Peninsula, we just finished a beautiful False Spring (or maybe Fool's Summer, I have trouble keeping track). It was so nice that we uncovered our deck furniture.
It is never wise to challenge Mother Nature. She responded by starting Juneuary. It has cooled down and started raining, and the blue skies are replaced by gray mist and clouds.
I'm not complaining, it's still beautiful (zoom in on the clouds over the foothills) and my garden needs the rain. And clouds make some magnificent sunsets.
If you've been meaning to go to the Coast Artillery Museum at Fort Worden, this season is your last chance. It will close after Labor Day 2026. Check the Beacon for more information.
I just bought the set of Slinkys at my local music store in the semi-boonies for $8.99. The set of Fender 150XLs were at the bottom of a box I just unpacked. I bought them at a store in Seattle in 1993 for $8.00. They list at $8.99 now too.
An increase of 12.5% in 33 years? There has to be a deeper story.
A friend's phone has been hacked and he's looking for some technical support. Specifically someone in the Seattle or Edmonds areas to whom he can hand over his phone, who can figure out what's going on, how to prevent it from happening again, and advise on next steps.
Edit: we're looking for a business, someone who does this professionally and has insurance etc.
He first noticed that he couldn't make outgoing calls on his phone. Then worse things happened. His carrier is Xfinity. They installed an eSim and advised him to find a phone IT guy. That isn't me, I understand server-side security but not phones.
Any recommendations?

(Note: I've done my due diligence. This request doesn't fit existing categories. He doesn't need a Phone repair person, nor a PC virus removal person, nor a network installer, nor a small business security consultant [that might be next], nor a forensic investigator who only handles legal cases. We are contacting seattlespy.com.)
