She’s on the road again!

After about four years my wife and I finally have this NB back on the road! It was an amazing gift from a family friend. It needed a new throw out bearing and they didn’t want to deal with the headaches anymore.

It’s taken a long time for us to have the spare funds and will power to get the job done. We had a shop replace the clutch, throw out bearing, and add in a lightened flywheel. We (mostly my wife honestly) replaced the rotors, pads, and rear calipers. Did the normal maintenance (filters, oils, coolant). It desperately needed tires and as we’re finally ready for them… the car suddenly wouldn’t start, of course.

First, we replaced the fuel pump. Then spark plugs. Still no go. My wife did some research and it thought it might be the camshaft angle sensor, or the crankshaft position sensor. Thankfully the crankshaft sensor did it!

It has new tires now and went for its first weekend drive in a long time today. So thankful to have it back on the road and much more to do from here!
