Indian Moving to the US [Buy Meta Rayban Gen 2 in India?]

Hi everyone,

I'll be moving to the US in about two months and I'm considering buying a pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses before I leave, since there are some good promotions available in India.

My main concern is the warranty. From what I've learned, warranty support for Ray-Ban Meta glasses is generally region-specific. However, a Sunglass Hut store in India told me that purchases made through them are eligible for international warranty support because they're an official Luxottica retailer. On the other hand, Titan Eye+ is also an authorized retailer and often has attractive discounts, but I'm not sure how warranty claims would work once I'm in the US.

My plan is to use the glasses in India for the next couple of months and then continue using them after I move to the US.

Has anyone here purchased Ray-Ban Meta glasses in India and later needed warranty service in the US? Were you able to get them repaired or replaced without any issues? Also, if you've bought from either Sunglass Hut India or Titan Eye+, I'd love to hear about your experience with after-sales support and warranty claims.

Is there any specific region locks?? Has someone purchased it in some other country and used it in the US?

Any advice or first-hand experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Incoming UIUC Grad Student – Looking for Honest Reviews of 1010 W Springfield Ave (Neves Group)

Hi everyone!

I'm an incoming international graduate student at UIUC and I'm considering leasing a 3B/2B at 1010 W Springfield Ave, Urbana (Neves Group). I'd really appreciate honest feedback from anyone who's lived there.

  • How is the building overall?
  • How is Neves Group as a management company (maintenance, responsiveness, security deposit, hidden charges)?
  • Is the area safe, especially at night?
  • Any issues with noise, pests, internet, or appliances?
  • My lease says $200/month for utilities (plus electricity & gas)—is that accurate?
  • Would you recommend living there?

Any positives or negatives would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
