Jobs/ accomplishments

I’ve been interviewing for jobs for the past month and today I finally received a verbal offer. I was having an exhausting day when I received the HR call and in combination with excitement and exhaustion I didn’t negotiate the salary. They offered me lower than what I asked. I’ve told the HR person I was excited about the opportunity and to meet her in person and potential start date. Since then she’s sent me the official paper works and benefits package and I’ve emailed her to set up another call to talk about compensation and benefits. I’m having so much anxiety about whether to negotiate or not. Because i personally want to negotiate the salary but I fear the offer getting rejected. Any advice is helpful.

Question regarding Salary Negotiations

Got call from the HR manager extending a verbal offer. Forgot to negotiate salary then and she sent over the offer letter. Is it okay to ask to set up another call to discuss total compensation? Or should I do it over email? Plus she hasn’t gotten back to me on start date yet.

Active boils and LHR

Hi,

Does anyone has experience with going to laser hair removal while also dealing with boils from HS? I am trying to get on antibiotics to get the boils under control but can’t figure out what the schedule should be inbetween sessions. Currently waiting to get in touch with dermatologist. Thank you for any insight.

Medical leave from work

Hello,

I have a quick question, if I were to take PFMLA in Massachusetts and use PTO to cover the first unpaid week, would I loose some of the state coverage/ protection of the PFMLA program. For-example, I ream someone’s post on this sub about a termination post PFMLA as they had used PTO to cover their leave and they somehow lost the state protection. I’m very new to this. Can someone shed some light on this please. I’ve enough PTO to use and can definitely use the money for the unpaid week, but I’m 60% at risk of my employer eliminating my role once I’m back from my FMLA. Thank you in

FMLA in Massachusetts

Hello,

I have a quick question, if I were to take PFMLA in Massachusetts and use PTO to cover the first unpaid week, would I loose some of the state coverage/ protection of the PFMLA program. Can someone shed some light on this please.

I’ve enough PTO to use and can definitely use the money for the unpaid week, but I’m 60% at risk of my employer eliminating my role once I’m back from my FMLA. My employer is suggesting that I go on fmla as soon as possible, they were almost persistent and said that with my current health condition I’m useless at work. With their persistent pushing for my fmla, I can’t help but feel a bit suspicious and feel a bit hesitant. With my current health condition i need atleast a couple more days to heal. I can use my PTO to heal. But im not sure if I should use pto or go on FMLA if there is potential grounds for termination upon my return. Any advice on how to proceed Thank you.
