First time cruising Princess. Paid my deposit. What is the medallion process?

We’re sailing in April next year. While we are experienced cruisers on other lines, it’s our first time on Princess. I have paid our deposit with the balance due end of December. What should I know about “medallions”?

Do I need to buy a hardwired printer?

My two printers are wireless. They often go offline although the WiFi is up and other devices are connecting. If I let a print request hang out there in the queue, oftentimes the doc will print during the night. But I can’t depend on that. I am expecting some docs in the email that I need to print off, sign and scan back to the sender. I’m nervous that the printer will stay offline as it is right this moment and my attempt to respond in a timely matter will be be thwarted. Are these 8 years old printers too old to do the job?

App charges appeared on my Visa Bill five times. I did not order or install.

When I got my Visa credit card bill there were five recent charges I did not recognize, for $19.99 each. When I called Visa using the number on the back of my card, the representative took my dispute and looked in their system for more info.

She advised that the purchases were made via my Apple Wallet on my MacBook laptop! I have only used my Apple Wallet to pay for online pizza orders from Little Caesars.

Looking at the dates of the transactions, each coincides with dates I was in a certain resort logged onto their guest WiFi.

Lesson learned. I will use my hotspot going forward when staying at hotels that offer free WiFi.

Meanwhile, reading all the options on my Apple Wallet app, I turned off the option to use it on my MacBook laptop which until now I had not known was turned on.

I only look like a teacher. I’m really 85 and a retired volunteer

I’m a volunteer at an elementary school. I wear what I want but I have a school logo lanyard prominently featuring my name and title “volunteer”. On my way back from an assembly I was stopped by a parent who wanted to know why his son was denied recess as he was missing playing with his friends.

Because the student is well known on campus for his frequent rule infractions, I had knowledge of why but in the interest of confidentiality and knowing my place, I only replied, “Sorry, I’m only a volunteer here. May I show you to the administration office?” I wanted to say “because your student throws rocks and he has no friends.” But I kept that in my head. 🤣
