Any way to massively disband ?

Hey everyone!

I'm just a beginner and have only won on easy mode so far. After annihilating major factions, I sometimes find myself burdened with heavy armies rendered useless by the newfound peace.

I wondered if there was a way to disband a whole army at once instead of disbanding every single unit individually ? This is cumbersome.

Thanks in advance for your answers !

Spasmes musculaires pendant l'orgasme: normal?

6 months in: emotional blunting.

Hey everyone,

I can't believe this med would be able to reach such intimate parts of me like that, but I have slowly and eventually totally lost any interest in music. It's both stunning to experience and very, very sad. Music just doesn't do anything anymore. No pleasure. I haven't listened to a tune in 2 months. My favorite band (oingo boingo) does not move me a bit.

I don't enjoy playing the piano anymore. I don't get scared watching a horror movie or TV show. Body horror grosses me out but that's it. No fear.

Novels and comic books don't move me. They're "interesting". Intellectually speaking, they conserve some interest, although my attention span is in shambles.

Getting on that med has been so difficult, I did it because I thought that the reward would be as big as the suffering. It just took away some parts of what I am, and now I'm just struggling to taper off.

Fuck you, Lexapro.

Does the heat intolerance go away after stopping treatment?

Basically the title. I began tapering off slowly (6 months at 10mg) and I just can't stand the heat intolerance anymore. Anything above 75⁰F (24⁰C) will make me feel hot. I wonder if the recent decrease in dosage was the cause for my hot flushes, but it feels like I'm gonna faint or something. I hate it. Can't wait to be done with Lexapro. It did work for anxiety but the load of side effects has become unbearable.

6 months in: hot spells & sweating

Hey everyone,

I began tapering off slowly a month ago because I can't stand the random hot spells/flushes and the absolute heat intolerance. I've always been quite tolerant to heat. With this year being abnormally hot in my country and this new medication (which is the only one I take), I'm hot even in very acceptable temperatures, as soon as I activate my body a little. Just going out will make me sweat like a pig.

I knew that heat intolerance was a thing with Lexapro, but the fact that it's dose dependant made me think that it would be mild being given my dosage (10mg initially. I am now down to 8mg).

Am I the only one who's concerned about this? Would it make me pass out if the heat intensified ? I absolutely hate it.

How to get out of the conquer/losing spiral

Hey guys,

This is my first time playing this game. I'm on the main campaign, fighting the gallic confederation and the nervii factions for the cisalpina region + provincia.

I've been conquering and losing the same exact settlements for dozens of hours now and I am making no progress at all, not to mention the randomly fluctuating food supplies.

It got to the point where the game isn't fun anymore because I just keep defending territories I lose and end up taking back afterwards, with no real progress.

How do I break the cycle ? Do I have to retreat for good and build some crazy wealth and come back in force ? Do I need to get incredibly agressive and put myself in debt, starve everyone to gain a few cities ? It seems like my enemies have endless money for funding war. I have no idea how to stop them and finally gain something. I am always on the verge of famine and bankruptcy. I have tried to lower taxes but somehow it led to less wealth being created or something. I haven't modified any buildings (besides upgrading them) yet I am sometimes so rich and sometimes ruined.

Is food a hidden stat ? How do I keep track of what's being produced and consumed ? I am so lost it's so annoying.

Thanks in advance for your advices.

New player's remark: autoresolve sucks

Hey everyone !

I have very recently picked up Rome: Total War II during a discount on Steam. This is my very first strategy and tactical game.

Because of that, I thought that the autoresolve option would be better than me at winning battles.

It is NOT.

When the odds are heavily against me (e.g: my garrison VS a big enemy army), it will always underestimate the amount of damage I can deal to the enemy before losing.

When the odds are a bit more balanced but still against me (e.g: close defeat), I will almost always win on the battlefield.

I've lost so many battles thinking I'd do worse than the AI. My gosh, I could have been so much bigger by now !

Rome II : Roman Bastion Ballista goes rampage ?

Hey everyone !

Recently, there's been a huge discount on many strategy games on Steam. I bought Total War: Rome II to try it out. This is my first tactical game, and I love it already. I'm currently doing the tutorial with the Capuan siege.

The 4 Roman Bastion Ballista troops decided to charge at the Samnites on foot and can't receive orders to get back at their weapon anymore. They're about to conduct some suicide mission for nothing. Is this normal? Are they just too mad ? I've tried every single button. They decided to ignore me.

Thanks in advance for your help.

At last !

Image 1: Final results from today's pass just 30 minutes ago. My very first win in 4 attempts !

Image 2: One of the three raw images.

Image 3: The corresponding area from Google maps.

Image 4: My setup. RTL-SDR blog v3, a cheap V-dipole antenna and SatDump.

Image 5: The only image I got from my 3 precedent attempts.

I am very delighted and very proud !

Based on my location (South Brittany) I can only assume that the satellite is pointing towards the North? Because clearly the image is not centered on my location at all.

I am definitely trying again at the next pass. What a miracle.

What's the average cave size ?

Hey everyone !

I recently fell in love with this game and I'm currently on my 2nd RPG run. On my first run, the first cave system I encountered north of Joppa was normal sized. 3 levels with 1 or 2 rooms each, it was ok.

But this time... I mean, I've been in there for hours. There are at least 5 strata (haven't even fully explored the 4th one entirely), it's got multiple stairways on level 4, both going up and down, and at least one elevator shaft. I swear this 4th floor has got a dozen rooms. It's gigantic. I found so many artefacts and books, 2 of these pink snapjaw warriors, 2 giant centipedes nests, some sort of laboratory, a cybernetics credit wedge.... it just keeps going. It's an endless cave. I'm on level 11 right now, and all I've ever seen is this cave. The entirety of my points come from the ennemies in this cave.

Is this a common occurrence ? A massive cave system with dozens of rooms everywhere ?

I keep coming back to Joppa to save the game after some progress because of how big it is.

Thanks in advance for your answers !

Tapering off: Am I going too fast ?

Hey everyone !

I have been prescribed Lexapro 10mg (in drops) for 6 months to help with anxiety. It kinda worked, not as well as intended. My psychiatrist and I agreed on tapering off. I am seeing a psychologist weekly to work on the root issues.

I started reducing from 10mg to 8mg 20 days ago.

I went from 8mg to 6mg 10 days ago.

About 4 days ago, suddenly, I have experienced a surge in anxiety, insomnia, and that feeling like "life is painful". So weird since I wasn't treated for that thing ! Coincidentally, I've had a fight with my parents and I had to talk to my therapist about the way my mom touched me when I was a kid and a teen so it might have contributed to my state.

Is my tapering schedule too quick ? Or is it slow enough to know for sure that how I feel is purely "psychological"?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
