INTJ Fi-Ni Loop vs INFJ Ni-Ti Loop

I am a GenX INTJ, wondering what looping is like for you’ll? For an INTJ, the Fi-Ni loop can be a real painful & dangerous time, caused by some kind of failure or betrayal. What triggers a Ni-Ti loop for you’ll, and what have you done to break it and/or prevent it?

Looping Core Difference between INTJ & INFJ

• ⁠Dominant Dynamics: INTJ Fi-Ni Loop is described as Ni cycling through Fi, causing internal values to dominate and action functions to be neglected. "The Ni-Fi loop originates from your Introverted Intuition constantly running through your Introverted Feelings in order to find answers."
• ⁠INFJ Ni-Ti Loop is Ni paired with Ti while Fe/Se are neglected, producing overanalysis, isolation, and detachment from social reality. "INFJs...fall into a cognitive pattern known as the Ni-Ti loop—a state where they excessively rely on...Ni and Ti while neglecting...Fe and Se."

I’ve noticed, for a long time, a relation between. Those in the Classic CULTURAL Gothic community and the IN_J types.

Anyone also see a coronation been anti-establishment /anti-social mindsets.

• INFJ – Drawn to mystery, meaning, and the deeper side of life; often creative and intensely private.

• INTJ – Attracted to Gothic culture’s intellectualism, non-conformity, and philosophical depth.

Core identity is music-first — the subculture grew out of goth rock, deathrock, and darkwave. If you weren’t listening to the music, many oldschool goths wouldn’t consider you “really” goth.

Aesthetic: DIY, thrifted, imperfect — teased hair, fishnets, band tees, dark makeup worn as self-expression, not performance.

Philosophy: Genuine comfort with themes of death, melancholy, and the macabre. Often deeply read in Gothic literature (Poe, Shelley, Stoker). Non-conformity was the point — they weren’t trying to be visually palatable.

Community: Small, tight-knit, centered around clubs, zines, and local scenes

Social Media Goths

Aesthetic-first — the look is often the whole point. Beautifully curated dark fashion, makeup artistry, and visual storytelling optimized for platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

Much broader tent — “goth” on social media often blends with e-girl, witchcore, dark academia, and cottagecore aesthetics that traditional goths wouldn’t recognize as goth at all.

Performance vs. identity — the audience and the algorithm shape the presentation. Looks tend to be more polished and commercially influenced.

Positive shift: Social media goth spaces are generally more welcoming and less gatekeeping, which lowers the barrier to entry.

Commercialized: Brands actively market to the aesthetic, which classic goths often see as diluting the subculture’s outsider roots.

Community: Small, tight-knit, centered around clubs, zines, and local scenes

I’m and INTJ man married to a very intelligent and warm hearted ENFJ woman.
First let me define two terns fur context.

Sidebarring : Telling stories within stories, then going back to the original story. These can be like a recursive program, where there are nested stories. Also called Frame Narratives.

Filibustering: An uninterrupted emotional dump. usually lasting between 5 to 30. In extreme cases, they can be chained to last hours.

When my ENFJ wife gets really upset, she sometimes can complain for a very long time. We call this a Filibuster, similar to what they do in Congress. A perfect example is what Amy Schumer’s character, does to Bill Hader’s character in the movie “Train Wreck”. Where she talks nonstop for hours, until he falls asleep.

The other thing she does is “Sidebarring”.
She often tells stories that branch into other stories and miraculously, comeback to the original story. Like, a story about her going to the store, turns into her friends surgery, then dives into when she met her friend, the first time, then back up to the original question “did you get milk?”

IS THIS COMMON AMONGST ENFJ WOMAN, or is my dear wife just special?
