Recycled Haul!!

In Chicago we have a store called the WasteShed that sells recycled and donated art supplies: fabric, yarn, rubber stamps, photo paper, paint, etc. There’s even a room with stuff that’s free for teachers! I pulled in a major haul today! I think the Halloween stamps are my favorite! They’re just rubber that you pull off a sheet. Anyone have any suggestions on how to use them well without a stamp block?

My Ephemera Storage

I did a Craigslist search a few years ago for small boxes. I had no idea the treasure I’d find! This dental technician was getting rid of this cardboard drawer system. Each separate drawer has 4 removable cardboard boxes.

They were used to store dental molds but everything is digitized now so they gave them away!! If you zoom in on the second image you can see my labels.

It sits above my art table, a refurbished enamel
top table from the 30s.

Me and My Therapy Opossum, Hazel.

My friend has a butterfly and taxidermy museum and she also rescues animals. This girl was the sweetest! I miss her a lot.

First Time Junk Journaler

I was inspired by a friend to start junk journaling since I love collage and assemblage and printer writing drawer art.

I decided to start with a theme, so I’m going to journal my 5-state vacation.

I’m using an A-5 ring binder so the pages can expand.
