Cats are a-holes, but we love them
I made this spread last week. Once I got the idea to shred the curtains, I couldn't stop, ended up staying up way too late and was sleepy at work the next day. But totally worth it, right?!

I don't believe this should be considered NSFW, but I did want to make a TW for abortion>!.!<
Has anyone made an abortion and/or pro-choice page? This is something I would love to do in mine when I get started (in less than two days!)
I remember sitting in this room in my gown. They had notebooks and sketchbooks so you could write letters, draw pictures, etc. I did that and took a photo of my drawing. Unfortunately, the photo I took (that was in an old cell phone and didn't transfer), and every other tangible item I had from that very short pregnancy were lost in our house fire that took everything.
My story is unique. It was 100% neccesary, I had no options. It could/would have been deadly to continue. It would have destroyed my family. I was additionally using two forms of BC, and was with my fiance that I am still with. I know I don't have to justify it, but I always expect to catch some heat when bringing this subject up.
I am now also an intense pro-choice advocate (even though I always have been) and I want to become an abortion doula. I help pregnant people in support groups as much as possible, from simply being there emotionally to helping them find resources. I support them regardless of their “reason” and their choice. Some have chosen to continue their pregnancy and I support them 100% in that decision as well.
I am looking to make many different pieces of art regarding this subject. For example, one will be a diorama split in two. One side will show safe abortions. One side will show what bans and restrictions can (and do) cause. Each will be extremely detailed; even the safe side will have a “window” showing protestors in the distance, looking over a privacy fence and holding their absurd signs. The other side will show desperation. Mini wire coat hangers made from wire, tiny bottles of vitamins, excessive amounts of herbs, household cleaners, alcohol for numbing, and of course…red stuff. Potentially even a body bag and another window with emergency lights shining in.
But I would love to make a spread both about my personal experience, before and after, and potentially a split page similar to the diorama.
Has anyone done anything like this? Even just a pro-choice page? Any other ideas for it are appreciated, as well!
Thank you, and I apologize if anyone was offended or triggered.
The photo is the room I sat in right before the procedure. Even though I was only 6 weeks, I couldn't go through an MA. This picture (from Google) is more recent, so it isn't exact, but it is close enough for me to remember being there.
I created a Google doc with a large list of currently active (as of May 2026) free samples that are great for junk journaling. My plan is to add to the list periodically.

does anyone else feel like they cannot let ANY junk go to the trash ever since you started junk journaling?
It's like I'm having attachment issues with my trash
This obviously is due to some underlying issues I might have, but just wanted to know if anyone else feels the same haha
Idk if the images show what I'm trying to do but basically I was gluing some old book pages to another sheet of paper to make an A4 "base" to use for journalling bits and pieces.
I've tried so many different things but I'm always getting bubbles:
- watered down PVA on the A4 sheet, then the back of the book page, then on top. Post-glue flattening whilst damp.
- wetting the papers first, letting them dry, then glueing as above
- using thick undiluted white craft glue slathered on both sheets
- using thick undiluted white craft glue just on the edges (my fault here, I created a paper balloon of sorts lol)
I've also tried with smaller pieces of paper rather than gluing the full book page but same result.
The best result I got is with the first method but it's long and annoying and messy. I don't mind crinkles so much, but it's the air bubbles that are annoying me. I don't have this issue with tissue paper decoupage, I guess as it's thinner it soaks the water better and doesn't leave bubbles?
Someone suggested using a glue stick but I've only got access to Pritt stick or cheap own brand ones, I've never had luck with either in terms of permanence.
So I guess twofold question:
- help. What am I doing wrong, how do I even do this with the glue I actually have (I have beacon 3 in 1 and PVA)? CAN I do it without the bubbles with that glue?
- is Scotch Permanent glue stick actually any good? The one with green tartan type packaging?
this is the state of my journal at the moment and it is haunting. I’ve ripped out quite a few pages to make room but I fear it was not enough. the bowing is… something, and some pages have separated from the spine. In fear that this one may explode, is it time to switch to a new journal?
A few journal pages I did 🫶🏽💚, started journaling around February and now I’m addicted haha.
My brother comes in and says “have a chicken” and walks off so I guess I have a chicken now. Have to say she’s more of a judgemental supervisor than a helper
I thought both of these ideas were cute and I was lowkey right
What is the easiest and cheapest way to start junk journaling? I've looked into it and I do not understand the binding. I know books can be used, but I expect our journals (my super creative 7-year-old daughter and I) to be quite thick with a lot of 3D type elements. I thought about binders, but I'm just not sure.
Any advice for a newbie?
Pics of her Valentines box and matching hat for attention. This would likely be a page theme, possibly with mini replicas of certain items, some of the “noodles,” etc.
