Kayak carry

For those of you who kayak or paddle board, I'm curious how you carry. My 365 XL (in a heavy duty plastic bag) fits nicely in my vest pocket. It won't be a fast draw, but it keeps the gun on me and dry. I tried a waterproof hip pack, but it wasn't very comfortable if I was wearing my vest.

GTO minor teething issues

New GTO had multiple light strikes (around 20, all fired on a second attempt) during the first 100rds but 400rds later, it seems to have worked out the kinks. The light strikes were with UMC and Aguila, Magtech and Fiocchi haven't had any issues. It does fail a pencil test(only moves it around 1/4") while my other 2011s launch the thing. I haven't reached out to Sig yet, but I probably will next week. Thankfully, it doesn't have any issues with my normal ammo so its ready for my next 2 gun match in Sept.

Obligatory August post

Range day to play with a new can for the Aug. Ive been running Sandman S for a while, but wanted something a little more compact so grabbed a Velos 556K. It's not as quiet, but it's more compact and there is noticeably less back pressure. With the KNS, the Sandman S was run on Low 7-10 and the Velos on High 1.

Got tired of renting and borrowing

We've been talking about buying for a few years and finally after our last trip on rentals, we ended up with our own. I tracked down a used Teton for $200 and the wife got a new Lifetime Spitfire 10 for $220. Her parents have several older Spitfires that she's used for years so that is what she wanted to get. Easy 5 miles with a lunch stop along the bank. Nothing fancy, but it gets us out!

Weekend drive down Rt66

We hit several old gas stations and musems on our Rt66 Centennial Drive. Its kind of interesting living on an active stretch of the route and we have a lot of different events going on here to celebrate it.

5 mins later, she wanted in ... then she wanted out again

At least she's knows to go to the door when it gets hot and not just suffer, but its funny when she is wanting to constantly go in and out.

Rainy walks!

Im glad she doesn't mind wearing a rain jacket! We took advantage of a break in between storms to get her daily walk in.

The guy claimed he fell asleep and thankfully both the driver and passenger were only shaken up.
