One year in and finally got the next corner done (fake grass section)

She’s held up pretty good for the year… so happy to finally get the fake grass in (was just gravel) finally ready to get the pool up for the year… and take it down in a month lol. (pool goes against the house in the grass) the kitchen needs a good wipe down tomorrow and couple more things need some tlc, but ready for draft night in a couple weeks. 😎 Been a great journey.

Camping just got a whole lot easier Gents!

These Kids gonna be setting up their own tent and rolling up their sleeping bags next year.

I remember when my Dad made me start rolling up my own sleeping bag, what a pain in the balls… now here I am passing down that vital knowledge. He’s on his way to becoming a young man. 🫡 (also he caught a fish last weekend)

165” wall. Torn between (4)75” tv wall / (2) 85 side by side or a 150” projector

yo… so here’s the deal, I love having multi screens. currently rolling (1)65 (2)60s in a 3 screen setup. I’m just sick of watching the 65” as main tv. I sit kinda bottom left side of the room- couch in the middle/recliner off the side.

im looking at (4) 75” miniled qled vizios that i could 2x2 for the kids/movies and mostly watch the bottom left screen. would be awesome for football for the 1 main redzone and quad box the remaining 3 for (12) 37” TVs - basically have every game. but bezel doing bezel stuff (aprox 3/4“ btb)

($2400)

option two is (2) 85” TVs and get some nicer ones…

($1500-2500)

or if I’m going to just do one, looking at a Epson Home Cinema 3800 w a Silver Ticket High Contrast Gray 150” fixed frame

it’s a somewhat medium light room- I do have a window in the living room w a blackout blind and could add curtains for total blackout. Room is 15.5’x 15.5’ so viewing distance is roughly 12’.

($2200)

if you were me- what would you buy?

im definitely not wanting a single 100”. not enough tv/tv(s) and viewing angle would suck balls for where I sit… but 150” seems like a choice

I also have a sports bar outside w (3) 60”ers if that does anything for my thoughts- it snows here and gets cold tho

Going from 3 TVs to 2. Outdated TVs to new

so I’ll start by saying I sometimes watch 2 TVs max (sports), except for Sunday football, I like the triple screen so I can do redzone and quad boxes on the other two.

I currently have an old Samsung 65” I spent way too much money for years ago and two 60s on each side.

Im pretty sold on going (2) 85”s and I think I might even be able to mount the 3 I already have above for Sunday football.

that said- for these two 85s it looks like I missed the deal my dad found where he got a tcl qm6k 98” at Costco for 1400... I could squeeze two 98s in the spot but it would hangover like 8” from the wall so I don’t think that’s great.

with my tail between my legs now, I’m looking an a sony Bravia 5 85” for my main tv… Amazon has it for 1700 or whatever it is now. I actually stayed at an airbnb last weekend that had it, thought it was perfect. so now I’m looking at a second tv and wondering what I wanna do… like I said, it’ll be for sports- but I’m usually locked into one screen, I just like it to check/watch while the other is on commercials except for Sunday football. don’t really wanna spend the extra 700/800 bucks for another b5… leaning towards getting an off brand or a lesser quality mini led for 1k.

any thoughts, recommendations?

the whole thing is just odd because most stuff (Netflix/hulu/prime/nhl/nfl streams are like 1080i trash anyways. Am I just throwing away money?

okay here me out-

  1. Ive got the 36k btu 36” 4 burner griddle in my outdoor kitchen. hooked to natural gas.

  2. I’ve got one of those propane stand up headers.

am I dumb if I make a custom hood to turn this into a fireplace/heater in the spring/fall. its in the perfect spot.

anyone try this yet?
