Good Sound but I miss 2 things

I have the JBL Go 5 for two weeks now and I love the new sound but there are two thing I hoped for JBL they could’ve done better imo.

At first the lightshow,

It’s a nice touch that for sure but I keep them off for one reason, and that is that their is no rithem in the lights at all, so for example the bounch, loop, switch modes are spanning the lights without music. Anoying for most part. Maybe they could update the speaker and make the lights move with the sound it’s actually playing at that time.

And second is the logo,

It looks nice that’s not the problem. For me the problem is the materials and the way they put it one there. It will come off in just a few monds after using them outdoor. Even indoor. I would say for their smallest speakers like the clip and go’s they should’ve stayed with the small metal logo.

The upgrade in the speaker for me is the sound, even tho is doesn’t sound much louder than the 4 it’s still a bit. And that 7 band EQ is also very nice for small touches of change in the sound for me. And the AirTouch is also nice if you have two of them.
And from 7 to 10 hours of battery is the biggest reason for upgrading from the 4 to 5 imo.

Mixed feelings B&O Beoplay H95 Headphones

I’ve tried the Beoplay H95’s for 2 weeks now and I have much that I don’t like about them, and I want to share this with someone who are looking info these right now.

Complaints and why:

Although the sound quality in these are great, there are also 2 huge problems that ruins it all,

At first: the volume output. I also said this about the sennheisers that the volume output is a bit too low for soms situations for example outside with noice around you. But the H95’s are even more quiet than the Momentums/HDB’s.
Even on max volume I miss some bite to them in volume. I must say these are the most quiet wireless ANC Headphones I’ve tested so far, and I’ve tested many. The sound quality on them are great, you hear most details with well controlled bass but on the more flat side.

Then at second: the EQ options in the app. You just get a circle slider that ruins everything in the sound. A bit more bass means, less mids, a bit more mids cut bass and so on. It’s far more worse than the sennheiser EQ settings. At some point with soms Headphones you can get a little bit more volume output with EQing them. But this one is just terrible.

ANC & Comfort

Talking about ANC is something I like about them. The ANC is great and on par with the Bose and Sony’s when talking about most frequenties. The transparancy is also great but a little weaker, still better than one the Sennheisers.

The comfort is a little twisted here, because the earpads are great feeling without heating my ears that much, but the headband is terrible. There way to stiff and hard. This means they hurt your head after just 15 minuten of using them. For an €999/€749 that’s not what you expect to be honest.

Who would I recommand these to:

To someone who want a relaxed sounding headphone with not that much volume output. Let’s say for at home. I even think audiophiles would like the sound out of the box. But their not made for exiting music like EDM or Hip Hop. For Jazz they will sound fantastic.

I’m going to sell them.

It’s actually sad because I liked most of the things about this headphone, but for the €729 they have some issues for me.

The sound: Even tho they get crazy loud and clean, the treble and hight mids were way too bright for me, even after spending much time EQ-ing them. The sound was also a bit too loud on lower volumes. Especially with watching video’s and listening music in the evening.

Build Quality: Every detail with the aluminium and leather, it’s great besides one thing. And that’s the leather under the headband that sits on your head. It gets wrinkled after just weeks of usage. That makes it very uncomfortable when it hangs on your neck.

Immersive Audio: They just added the option in the app, but it sounds terrible, just cutted bass with reverbed treble. It sounds cheap. Even tho they aren’t made for 3D listening, They didn’t do a great job there.

But just that treble issue made me return the Headphones. Maybe it’s just me with sensitive hearing, but it’s too V-Shaped.

Since yesterday I’ve bought a replacable battery for my Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 4 speaker. The old Battery (The red one) gave me about 10 minutes music on full charge with 50% Volume. Now I’ve put a new battery in there (The blue one). But after a full charge of 5 hours the new Battery also gave me around 15 minuten of music in the same volume. I don’t know why my speaker does this. And tried everything. What could this be? It’s the same 3.7V 3000mah Battery like the old one had. On the charger it stays on. But when putting it above 45/50% Volume the speaker turns itself off even with the new Battery. 😪
