Hi. I (26M) have been RPing for 7ish years now and I love character focused stories (especially ones that involve angst). I generally do either script style or 1-3 sentences per post, but longer posts for establishing scenes and descriptions. I don't do fandom RP, with some exceptions. I don't accept DMs from minors.

In this RP I would be playing Alyss, a woman in her 40s who used to be "tech support" for a group of loan sharks and hitmen. In her career she made quite a name for herself in the criminal world but always managed to keep her actual identity hidden. It's almost 16 years since she's given up that life when your character contacts her using a name she thought she'd left behind for good. They know who she is and exactly who to threaten to get her to play along. I don't know exactly where I want it to go from there, but I love cooperating to build a story together based on our OCs and how they interact. There would also be multiple characters of mine involved, though Alyss will be the focal one.

Alyss: She's a jaded and antisocial middle aged woman who looks older than she is. She lives on her own in a small town in Nevada, USA, with her cat Killian, and works remotely in *actual* tech support. She claims to hate people and for the most part it seems true even to herself, but in a crisis she's usually the first to be offering comfort and warm drinks.

Vanni: Vanni is a man in his 20s, and has a unique sort of relationship with Alyss. It's not exactly parental but Alyss does feel a level of protectiveness over him. His father was a part of the group Alyss used to work for, and there's some complicated history there. Vanni lives in LA and he and alyss frequently meet up at a halfway point between their homes.

Jo: Jo is Vanni's child and doesn't know anything about any of this. They are very sporty and excitable, and know alyss mostly in passing (though they do refer to her as "Aunt Alyss"). Alyss still feels protective of them.

Obviously, this RP would delve into dark themes. Usually I'm open to things naturally becoming romances, but in this case my character is 100% aroace, so if romance is what you're looking for this isn't the right plot.

I (26m) have always been a bit intimidated by fandom RP. Like, I've been RPing original worlds and real-world-adjacent stuff since 2018, and I've done a total drama island RP with friends, but that's more "vague gameshow vibes" than actual fandom RP.

I know I don't want to play any Canon characters because I KNOW it'd feel wrong because it doesn't feel right when I've tried to write fanfic. I'm more looking for franchises that have a lot of worldbuilding, and we'd both play OCs within that world. The two that come to mind are Avatar The Last Airbender, and the Nintendo game about collecting monsters, but I'm open for suggestions.
