Is the HOMA-IR score medically valid ?

I've been to be about 3 doctors already trying to figure out what's been wrong with me. I am constantly tired, can't lose weight in stomach area even though I workout consistently & eat relatively healthy, fall asleep after eating, and i have the dark patches of skin on my arm pits, neck and inner thighs. I suspect I have either PCOS or insulin resistance but all my doctors have said my only problem is iron deficiency and I just need to lose weight (as if I haven't been trying for years!)

My glucose fasting is 4.7 mmol (3.5-6.0) is the healthy range & insulin fasting is 167 pmol (20-180) was listed as the other healthy range.
When i typed this into a homa-ir calculator my results were 5.8!! Meaning im severely insulin resistant???

I tried to bring this up to my current doctor because iron deficiency doesn't seem to correlate with why i'm always on the verge of passing out after eating almost anything and she told me she didn't know what the HOMA-IR is and that it has no real basis in medicine. I'm just confused because online it says it's a widely used method?

my (F25) boyfriend (m25) has really bad allergies. could that be a dealbreaker?

I understand how silly the title sounds which is why I haven't really talked about it to anyone I know and decided to talk about it on reddit.

Growing up food has always been a big part of my culture & family. sharing a meal has basically turned into a love language at this point.

My boyfriend and I have been together for 1.5 years and he's a friend from high school so I've known him for a while and I do really love him. He's a great boyfriend in all aspects but the one thing that's hard to navigate is he has pretty severe allergies to nuts, sesame & shellfish. Let's say I had a piece of hazelnut chocolate, he won't kiss me until I've brushed my teeth.

I really enjoy being able to try out new restaurants and that's one of my favourite date activities but he's allergic to pretty much everything I love. He's very weary of any middle eastern or asian restaurant due to him having an allergic reaction. Even when I suggest asking the restaurants if they can accommodate him he's just not interested.

His food of choice is either burgers, chicken wings or french fries. Whereas I like to try things from multiple cultures and I feel very lucky to live in a diverse area with so many options!

This has bothered me for a while but I always thought I could be fine with it & just go to restaurants with my friends... but I really only hang out with them in person maybe once a month.

It honestly feels crazy to think about the possibility of breaking up over something that seems so stupid like this but even when we talk about travelling, he says he wouldn't want to go to Asia (which is a dream of mine) because he thinks navigating his allergies would be impossible with a language barrier.

It's a new-ish menu item and I haven't been able to find any nutritional info through their website or online. I chose chicken for my protein

Both products have gone fairly viral online & I already own the d'alba mist. I know it has no claims in regard to longevity but i'm wondering how it compares to the one size spray in terms of actually melting down powder? It's always out of stock whenever I'm at my local sephora so haven't been able to test it out. The d'alba is nice but I feel like i have to spray quite a lot to actually get the glass skin effect. My skin can get very dry around my cheeks and lower half of the face.
