Anika Nilles overheads?
Does anyone know what kind of mic's Anika Nilles is using for overheads on the Rush tour? I'm just curious. There are a ton of videos with better views, but here's one I took. It looks kind of like a 414, but I don't think the band between the two screens is big enough.
Hyundai cross bars fit my 2019
I was taking the Hyundai cross bars off my Tuscon and out of curiosity tried them on my 2019 Ranger. They attached securely. Just thought I'd share. The rails on my truck are the kind that are almost flush with the roof.
What is this?
I got this pan for free and I’m curious what it is. It’s coated with something. It feels like nickel, but I know tin is common. There are numerous dents from cooking, but no rust. In the right light there are blue and purple highlights on the bottom.
It measures 9-3/16 inches across the top and it’s about 1 3/4 inches deep. And yes, a magnet sticks.
I wasn't going to....
I said to myself that I wasn't going to watch any concert footage of the recent tour so I could see it all with fresh eyes in Chicago. But last night I had a few drinks and watched a bunch of videos. The guys are on fire and Anika is an irresistible force. I'm going to try to talk my buddy into going to another show later in the tour (because it's close to him).

Slice of life from the early 1700s. I rather enjoy the guy in the background.
What should a music lover do in Vienna in an afternoon
We're going to be in Vienna for an afternoon in June. We're on a river cruise, which arrives in the morning and leaves in the evening, so evening concerts are out. My wife is a violinist, so if there is a museum that focuses on great composers or something like that it would be great. It needs to be something to walk to in the city center, or easy to get to on public transit or Uber.
Is anyone aware of any Beach Boys songs that use either Octave Mandolin or Bouzouki? I was watching the Brian Wilson biopic called Love & Mercy and they had a scene in a recording studio that briefly showed what I think was one or the other of those instruments. There was no audio, just a guy holding the instrument. I think the time period was supposed to represent either Pet Sounds or Smile.
It seems like the kind of movie where they tried to be accurate about everything, but even if there was a mandolin family instrument in a recording session it wouldn't have necessarily been on any of the music that's been released from that period.
I really thought I had all the albums (except Feedback). I'm listening to them all in anticipation of the new tour. Somehow I don't think I've ever heard Snakes and Arrows. At the time it came out I would have bought the CD and put it on tape to listen to in my car on the way to work.
But it all seems new. There are three instrumentals, and I'm sure that would have made an impression. And a ton of acoustic guitar too.
I'm so confused 😄
And I like it!
