These iron sights suck, I want zoom back or I want an actual optics slot

Red dot sight having to waste a mod slot and having to pick between better hipfire or an ads reticle that isn't complete garbage sucks, zoom felt so much better because these iron sights were really bad

in Titanfall 2 most iron sights even including the ones I dislike don't block nearly as much of the body for the target I'm shooting at and a lot of them still have some sort of dot, circle or general indicator of where my bullets are going to land (before recoil/bloom)

still doesn't help the hipfire reticles don't feel good enough to go hipfire only, but I feel like going hipfire only wouldn't be a proper solution when there's a reason zoom exists even in games where hipfire and zoom/ads are exactly 1:1, in Titanfall too I'm still ADSing at least 30% of the time for weapons I mostly hipfire with

guns already did not feel good enough for red dot sight to waste a mod slot, grip and laser sight shouldn't exist as mods in the first place and the guns should feel better at base like other shooters so you can run more interesting mods

I feel like with how fast the game is now (good) we definitely need improvements to the guns

hopping back and forth between Empulse and Titanfall 2 and at least for lower speed (not a complete movement god) Empulse often makes Titanfall 2 pilot gameplay actually feel slow by comparison, but it shows even more how much worse the guns feel by comparison when I'm playing Titanfall 2, where the guns overall feel better AND kill faster

now I don't think we need too many ttk shifts if at all and definitely not for every gun but some could definitely be tweaked a little like making the bodshot ttks of full auto guns slightly better at least (optimal is good enough), giving the sniper another rpm buff but nerfing its bodyshot damage to not be so high (even without a rpm buff I feel like 80 is way too strong for teamshotting rn, 50 is all it needs for a 2 body kill) something I don't think would be too insane if the rest of the game got ttk reductions/improved forgiveness depending on weapon type

I feel like overall you don't even have to decrease ttks to make the guns feel better, for pretty much every single Splitgate 2 and Empulse playtest survey I've been saying grip and laser sight just have to go away as mods and the accuracy/recoil of the guns should just be improved, part of what makes Titanfall 2 guns feel so good imo is the fact that there is no mods that improve accuracy, reduce recoil or increase dropoff range so they just have to make the guns feel good at base

also the reticles suck, the ads ones weren't very good either, give me full reticle customization instead of these mediocre presets and let me set a dot for ADS once that drops, idc if the dot is physically on the gun or just the same dot reticle you can set for hipfire on the UI

oh yeah and I keep rambling but also remembered titanfall 2 actually has sidearms, the guns DEFINITELY shouldn't feel this much worse if we don't even have sidearms to swap to

how much of a disadvantage are you put at if you don't play much/any extraction?

played and enjoyed the pvp playtest that was just focused on the core hero shooter styled pvp modes and I liked it decently enough but my computer was just a LITTLE too weak to fully enjoy it, but once the game did fully come out and I had upgraded I constantly put off trying the game again because it seemed like reviews were always at "overwhelmingly negative" on steam anytime I'd check a few months later

Looking again and finally seeing positive reviews has me interested in giving it a try, but I have concerns with how much I have to do extraction, I know there were mods in the playtest I did they said would be earned through extraction but I never threw them on because I didn't know what boosts I was willing to gain for what drawbacks

Never really cared for extraction games, never will, if I can get a lot of rewards just for doing a bit a day/week from challenges I might hop in but if I can also just play the game fine as a normal pvp player in normal pvp only I'd probably stick to the normal pvp

Any good guides/tips for using the hunter "dive" aspects for movement?

Never really messed around with shatterdive (as a movement tool, abused it a bit when it was broken for shattering crystals), ensnaring slam or trapper's ambush but I know some good players run them sometimes just for the movement and I'm kinda tempted to mess around with shatterdive especially because I like stasis hunter but I don't really care much for a lot of the aspects

Does the art quality get any better again after mirage TMNT volume 2?

I'm fine with the addition of colour and when I started it I don't remember having any issues with the art it but I'm around the midpoint of volume 2 now and I'm REALLY starting to dislike how the humans look now, especially in issue #7

Should I give up on SMGs or just start finally investing into stability? (KB/M)

A lot of the rolls I was used to using before some of the recoil nerfs and just nerfs in general smgs have gotten over the years were as much range as possible with little concern about stability (0 stab felt unusable but even just 7 for aggressives was all I needed on kb/m) But now I feel like 20ish stab aggressive frames no longer feel reliable and a lot of 40ish or under stab adaptives/lightweights are the same, before this patch not nearly enough precisions I liked once Shayura's got its sight ruined (haven't tried any of the reissues) so unsure about those

Is it worth still using them even if I'm giving up on range for stab to control the recoil or am I better off now just practicing with ARs/sidearms instead? I like my (untiered) no survivors at 72 range/42 stab with ballistics but I'm not sure if the range on that is too short now or if that's expected for aggressive frame smgs now making less use of the range power creep they've gained and more keeping the old good ranges but with more stability

Also would be good to know if I should even bother trying to hit 95ish - 100 RD or if that's lower priority than stab now, seems like now lower stab 100 RD smgs even now even back to the old RD system instead of deterministic recoil have a lot of horizontal variance
