Here is why I don't like mega gatling peas design in pvz2(and three)
To dumb it down..... HE'S NOT EVEN A GATLING PEA.
That's right the "gatling" part of Mega gatling pea doesn't even make sense. If it was a gatling gun the barrels would rotate instead the barrels don't rotate and just shoot all four peas at once, Mega gatling pea is not a gatling pea rather a shotgun pea. The fact that his idle animation doesn't show the barrels is another things that bugs me. The most iconic part of gatling pea is his barrels so when you reduce that to just the attack animation is just a terrible idea. ITS EVEN WORSE IN THREE BECAUSE HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE ANY BARRELS.
