What's an antidepressant that significantly helped your daily dizziness/boat ride/vertigo?

Considering getting back on an antidepressant after being off of citalopram for over a year. Also hoping it can help my daily dizzy. I need some positive stories please. 💖

Trouble breathing

I have vestibular migraines and decided to try beta blockers to see if it helps

I tried propanolol first and started having trouble breathing a few days into it, very very low dose. Went away about 4 days after stopping.

A couple weeks later I tried metoprolol, again very very low dose half of 12.5 for 2 days. Breathing problems and chest pain started immediately after taking. I stopped taking it and the breathing issues have continued, it's been a week now and instead of constantly feeling like I can't get enough air, it usually hits when I'm eating. tonight my husband woke me throwing up and it sent my heart racing and the breathing issues stuck around for almost 2 hours, now that I feel like I can breathe again it kinda burns to take a deep breath.

Plz tell me this medication hasn't caused me to develop a new health problem, I have enough the way it is... 😞

Propanolol causing trouble breathing?

I recently got diagnosed and when I take even just 5mg of propanolol I get shortness of breath like I'm breathing thick air and chest discomfort. It lasts a couple days after even taking a small dose. My heart rate never gets dangerously low, I ordered a blood pressure cuff but haven't got it yet. The doctor that diagnosed me said my BP might just be getting too low but I hadn't taken any beta blockers for a few days then only 5mg and it still happened. I took loratadine thinking maybe it's an allergy to the med, I've also started having a ton of drainage just out of nowhere while this is happening. I'm not sure if I should contact my PCP and ask for a different beta blocker or what.. any suggestions or experiences like this?

Needing a little insight or encouragement.

-Vertigo/boat sensation started last July and has been constant for most days.

-pressure on top of head and sometimes my nose feels like it got punched.

-Seen ENT and found nothing.

-I've tried physical therapy/Eply maneuver with no help.

-migraines at the beginning but I don't think I realized it was migraines at the time.

-had about 6 weeks feeling almost normal randomly then everything came back with vengeance.

-Ive been having a really bad flare the last 7 weeks, it started as increased vertigo then gradually got worse. Then the last 5 days I've been struggling with a painful migraine and dizziness. It's very slowly improving but definitely still there. It's weird but my legs have been so weak this flare. I can gently do some arm exercises with weights but my legs feel incredibly weak to just walk.

-I see an neurologist in August

Can anyone give me hope or tell me what a doctor can do for me?

I've tried cutting out food triggers, eat mostly whole foods, exercise gently when I can, I'm a stay at home mom. I take vitamin d, starting magnesium, and starting inositol for PCOS.

I have Hashimotos (hypothyroidism), familial hypercholesterolemia, anxiety/depression

Came off of SSRI'S November of 2024, with horrible withdrawals.

I rather not take medications due to side effects, but is that going to be my only option if I want to live again?

Thx 🧡
