Saw the Wes Anderson exhibit at the Design Museum in London today

What an amazing exhibit - can’t recommend it more. From the Polaroid pictures taken by Wes and some of the crew of BTS stuff on Life Aquatic, the wardrobes of some of my favorite of his characters, the handwritten screen plays of some of my favorite scenes, to the puppets of The Fantastic Mr Fox and Isle of Dogs … we had an excellent and extremely memorable time. I must admit I broke down and shed some tears hearing the Sigur Rós song from the Jaguar Shark scene during that part of the archive exhibit … What a legend and what a legacy.

leucospermum cordifolium dying

I bought this last July for my wife’s birthday. It has been in a plastic pot up until recently. Our house is very small and the yard gets little shade from the oak trees and redwood trees. It has been doing quite well up until recently. When it was in the plastic pot I was able to move it around the yard (carefully) throughout the day to capitalize on different sunny spots.

It started to get dried out and sad looking so I recently transplanted into a pot that is not drastically bigger than the previous pot, used appropriate soil, and a day later pruned the unnecessary new branches and extra flower buds. This thing is so depressed now. I can’t tell if I was over or under watering it. Now it seems sad from the transplant although I was cautious to not touch any of the roots. I think at most it’s getting 3.5 hours of direct sunlight and now in the bigger pot I cannot move it around the yard.

I’m thinking of giving it to a friend who has adequate sunlight in their yard. Curious what y’all think.

What an honor it is to walk in the man’s shoes. Felt I had to polish them up even tho I’ll miss the marks he made on them.
