My husband brought me back chicken strips and ate the fries

*** EDIT : I didn’t want the fries. Just chicken. I ate 2 before posting this photo. Genuinely wanted to know if other locations serve nuggets instead of strips now ***

Willingdon, Burnaby BC location

Surprised the chicken strips look more like chicken nuggets🥲. Costco’s chicken strips are slowly becoming nuggets. Am I right? They used to be actual strips .. like 2 years ago

Hi everyone! Totally forgot to take a picture cause the mold grossed and scared me out.

I fermented pickles and this was the first time I had quite a bit of water in my drip tray. About an inch. Well, it was a small round container that I used.

I went to check on my jar after 4 days and saw 3 round circles of white mold on the drip tray. Jar has no mold though.

Still safe to keep fermenting ? Should I wash the bottom of the jar? Mold spores goes into the air right? And I used the glass weight with a bag over method….

Chipotle thread popped up for me a week ago and everyone’s photo made be crave chipotle.

I also found out recently that we can ask for extra toppings without an extra cost!

So this was double everything excluding meat and guac. Probably wouldn’t go back to this location though cause the steak was chewy and the corn was frozen

Hello !

I’m just wondering if anyone continued to weight lift in the first trimester of their pregnancy?

A few years ago I had a miscarriage and I suspect it was from heavy lifting. I didn’t know I was pregnant and I wasn’t trying to conceive at the time, but I did a pregnancy test which showed positive and continued weight lifting. After a couple of days, I had a regular looking period and miscarried.

This time around, I knew I was pregnant, it was planned, and I continued lifting medium heavy weights. I had a bit of bleeding today and miscarried again.

I don’t think I will continue weight lifting when I’m pregnant again. But I’m curious if anyone did and had a successful pregnancy?

Oh I was pregnant a year ago and didn’t exercise at all during my first trimester because of the fear of miscarriage again. I had a horrible first trimester and my body ached from not moving! But a successful delivery

So I discovered Reddit Fermentation a year ago and purchased glass weights, but got too scared to actually go through with fermentation.

Recently my husband discovered my $15 jars of pickles had only 5 small cucumbers and I was going through a jar a week. So I decided to try to make my own pickles because Costco had a sale on small cucumbers, $3.50 a bag!

This was a last minute decision to make pickles so I didn’t grab the usual suspects - dill, bay leaf, chilli peppers and mustard seeds.

I found a recipe for 2% brine and apparently low brine means only 5-7 days of fermentation?

The original honey jar lid did not fit over the weight so I read online that I could use a towel… lol so here is a pink Hello kitty towel as my lid.

I fermented for 5.5 days because I was scared of mold. I’m surprised no yeast or mold? I haven’t tasted it yet.. nervous.

Curious how it looks? Fermented ?
