In my opinion, TADC is a pretty character-driven show, so it’s actually baffling to me how little we actually got to KNOW (most) of the characters up until the finale (where Caine revealed what everyone’s lives were like via their social medias)

I’d like to address the bar scene in Episode 5 (which is my favorite episode ironically) where the characters talk a bit about their lives before entering the Circus. Forgive me if I’m wrong about this, but they never thought to talk about their lives with each other before this??? They aren’t strangers to each other because they’ve all been there for years together, so you’d think they’d at LEAST know things about each other. Not like their whole life stories, but like, general facts and stuff. So it baffles me that the bar scene is the first time they’re all sharing a little of what their lives were like outside of the Circus. If I was in the Circus, after getting comfortable enough with the members there (or at least friendly enough) one of the first things I’d tell them is how my life was before I entered the Circus, as well as how I even found the headset to begin with. Again, I wouldn’t spiel my whole life story (maybe I would if I felt comfortable enough eventually) but I’d at least tell them general facts and stuff.

I’d also like to bring up the whole deal with Ribbit and how she relied on Jax WAYYYY too much, and the same goes with Kaufmo and Ragatha for not really attempting to help her with the situation and notice Jax was acting strange and obviously pushing her away. Maybe it’s because they didn’t want to intervene since they figured it was a kind of personal matter between them, but if we’re supposed to believe the 4 were all such good friends before Jax started his asshole behavior, then why didn’t Ragatha and Kaufmo help Ribbit out or maybe call out Jax for it because they barely did anything to help her, besides Kaufmo asking “What’s up with Ribbit lately” once 😭🙏 I really wish we got more scenes with them 3 and how Jax’s asshole behavior began affecting all of them and not just Ribbit.

These are all just my opinions though and I’m sure the strange communication in the show has definitely been addressed here before, but man I just had to get this off my chest. Imo TADC would’ve benefited from 4 more episodes at the very least to flesh out the main characters more and give it more time to learn about their lives. We still don’t even know what the whole deal with Scratch was as well as most of the other C&A workers, and we don’t even know about some of the other abstracted players either! The more I think about the good potential TADC had, the more disappointed I get thinking about how it was actually executed.

I’m a huge fan of the way she draws Spamton, and I have been for a while!! I really do love when people draw Spamton absolutely disgusting and gross, because it PERFECTLY aligns and fits with his character (and it just makes total sense, he lives in a Dumpster after all lol) sometimes I’m not really a fan of when people give simple-designed characters a lot of detail, but here it’s the opposite, I really love the dirty and crooked-looking details on the salesman. In addition, a good handful of people (including myself) can forget how vile Spamton’s character can be and the insane lengths he can go to, so her design for him honestly helps me remember that, lol.

Remember this from the Undertale 10th anniversary livestream? When you answer Catchup, Spamton looks around nervously, and shows his “distressed” sprite afterwards.

I got the Papyrus gachapon keychain which I managed to find on eBay! He came all the way from Japan so he had a pretty long trip! I’m very glad he’s home now! He’s just the cutest ❤️❤️❤️

My friends and I saw the finale when it came out in theaters and my one friend pointed this fact out. I immediately knew I had to share this fact too once the movie came out more publicly.

To be fair, I didn’t hate the finale, I just thought it was mid and I didn’t like how many questions it still left us. I know that NOT all questions in a show are answered to keep the suspense/mysteries/debates going for years, and I totally respect that!! But like, getting NO lore on C&A and Kinger’s co-workers was a bummer, there’s still a bunch of abstracted players we still have no idea about, and, of course, as always, Jax gets FAR too much screentime with his abstraction and door scenes. I also didn’t like how, when Caine came back, everyone forgave him a little too quickly, but they also didn’t explain to him that them deleting him in the first place was a complete accident. I feel they should’ve agreed to build up trust with each other with both parties, but nah, all’s forgiven!!

But hey, I don’t want to dog on the movie too much and I still respect Goose’s decisions for her own show! I did really like how the mind scan plot was revealed, I originally didn’t like how it seemed like the mind scan plot was basically canon, but I feel like they pulled it off pretty well and it was satisfying for me. I also liked Pomni and Ragatha’s hug, as a Ragatha lover it felt really satisfying too.

This post basically spewed into my own review about the finale 😭😭😭 but yeah. Interesting how a lot can change when you take a single person out of the picture!!
