Upper mount brace
As suggested! I love how it looks now! You would think I planned it with how close it is to the body without touching lol

Hackfabbed by me. 110mm shocks full spring compression with half a MM to spare on the shock and plenty left for extension, still on stock springs for now.
Hopefully I'll get the rears done tomorrow.
For anyone thinking about doing this, I would highly recommend just buying the lower shock mounts that attach to the axle. They were a pain to make.
Gonna have to have a 1/10 scale camp fire this Fall 😄
Hung up on my skid plate as always😂 redesign will happen soon, just having fun with it right now.
Did a nut and bolt check last night and good thing because about half needed tightening.
Fun stuff! It's getting more capable with each new mod.
J Concepts FYR 4.25 on some steel beadlocks.
I also installed an aftermarket Amazon transfer case which gives me a 20% overdrive in the front axle as well as getting rid of torque twist under throttle because the rear driveshaft now spins in the opposite direction.
I made my own anti wrap bar for the rear axle too.
I need too make a new skid plate or modify the one I made before because the new t case is wider. I still need to make a rear bumper and all 4 shock mounts. It's been too hot to work in the hobby shed so progress has been slow.the truck was down for over a week waiting on parts but I got a great run in today with no issues!
It ain't much but it gets the job done.
Need shims to correct my pinion angle now.
12" wheelbase achieved!
Still needs some trimming and tinkering to get it functioning like I want. Shocks will be here Sunday.
I'm now remembering all the problems that comes with larger tires lol but it's also more capable already so I'm happy with it.
Some action shots with the flatter belly.
4.25" Tires and much fender trimming to come!
Bought a new TF2 in June and this is where I'm at.
Day 1 through this evening when I finished up making my sliders and skid plate, flipped the transfer case, this was my first time trying overdrive and it's awesome, highly recommend for anyone who likes rock crawling. I can't wait to get it out for a real test soon. I'll tear it apart and paint everything once I've done a thorough test.
wheelbase is 10mm over stock. I also added a hobby wing fusion 1800kv so this thing actually crawls like it should.
Immediate future plans are building a rear bumper, which I started on the other day and just need to finish. Thinking about bobbing the bed too but I like the look of the full bed better, not sure. I will build shock mounts too then I can measure and buy the ones I need, which I'm not sure about at the moment. I need to figure out my steering drag link too because it contacts both the leaf spring and the frame under articulation. any ideas for that?
4.25" 1.9 Jconcepts FYR tires and some Amazon beadlocks are in the mail.
What should I do next? What do you guys think? This is my first RC build of any kind.
